The man which we know today as the Jean La Rochelle was born without a name. His mother died in childbirth on the freighter La Rochelle whereas she was there as a stowaway.

The newborn was very lucky that a mechanic of the La Rochelle hear his cries.

This illegal child, devoid of family and identity, was adopted by the ship’s captain, Paul Chorlet. A good man that was also devoid of any family. The captain named the child Jean, in memory of his father. The name of the ship became his family name.

Traveling the galaxy for commercial missions, Jean became quickly a skilled pilot and a talented merchant . He concluded his first sale at twelve years old.

For fourteen years he dedicated his life to the art trade. Living in the old freighter that had seen him been born, he traveled the galaxy with his adoptive family.

During the year 2496, John decided to take advantage of a long-haul transport mission to spend a few weeks on Earth alone, because such missions tended to be as long annoying.

During this trip, the La Rochelle had a serious accident which left no survivors.

Thanks to its merchant talent Jean survived on Earth. Quite soon he made a reputation in the slums of London. It was said there that if you wanted to buy something, La Rochelle was selling. Thus, after two years of haggling Jean was hired in an old grocery store named The Kheops.

A year later, the owner of the grocery retired and bequeathed his business to Jean. This legacy was the beginning of the meteoric rise of John La Rochelle and what will become the Pyramid Corp.

In 2499, the Kheops became Kheops Distribution and John used all his money to buy access to rare food such as Caviar or French wine. Jean managed to sell this rare food surprisingly well despite the relatively poor background.

In 2502, Kheops Distribution was employing two dozen men and women split within the five strategically placed shops in the city. A few years had sufficed to the name La Rochelle to be associated with fine and luxury dining throughout London.

In 2512, Jean signed with Global Pacific Transport Company a contract which merged GPTC and Kheops Distribution. Pyramid Corp was born. This highly beneficial contract allowed Jean to export luxury goods on all continents.

In 2519, Pyramid Corp buys and incorporates Galacitc Logistic Solutions, a space transportation company, and extend across the galaxy. Offering services and luxury goods and not only rare food, Pyramid Corp enters a great economic boom and went public to the Stock Exchange. Well received by investors, Pyramid buys a large number of small and signs a lot of contracts with many large companies.

It was in 2534 that Pyramid Corp starts to diversify. While keeping its commercial reputation of quality and luxury, Pyramid beginning to be recognized for its transportation and real estate services. Shortly after, Jean La Rochelle (that became a billionaire) retired leaving the direction of Pyramid to the Council.

The Corporation continued to evolve and grow.

In 2601 Pyramid Corp was galactically famous for its military security services, engineering, real estate, transportation, high technology, construction, mining, freelancing and exploration services. Weighing several hundred billion at the Stock Exchange, Pyramid Corp was a major and influential company. It will remain so for more than 200 years.

In 2851, while the company was still in full swing, and for unknown reasons, the Council decided to shut down all the operations and lay off all employees. A huge scandal broke out. Pyramid Corp’s value collapsed. The Council sold the Corporation to an independent, who wished to remain anonymous, then disappeared.

Pyramid Corp was put on stand-by for nearly 100 years and no one heard of it.

After a long hibernation, the little that remained of the Pyramid Corp was discreetly auctioned and bought by Nova Stream Investments with a simple goal : to honor the memory of Jean La Rochelle by rebuilding the Corporation. By making it grow bigger and stronger. Its creator was famous for two centuries by proving to all that it is possible to build an empire from scratch, that it is possible to live your dreams without compromise. But like La Rochelle used to say “every dream is built on money”. And Pyramid Corp. is a name synonymous with wealth.

Celui que l’on connait aujourd’hui sous le nom de Jean La Rochelle naquit en réalité sans nom. Sa mère mourut en couches sur le vaisseau cargo le La Rochelle alors qu’elle s’y trouvait en tant que passager clandestin.

Le nouveau-né eu alors beaucoup de chance qu’un mécanicien du La Rochelle entende ses cris.

L’enfant illégal, dépourvu de toute famille et identité, fut recueilli par le capitaine du vaisseau, Paul Chorlet. Un homme bon et lui aussi dépourvu de toute famille. Le capitaine Chorlet baptisa l’enfant Jean en mémoire de son père et le nom du vaisseau devint son nom de famille.

Voyageant de système en système pour des missions commerciales, Jean développa très jeune des talents de pilote et de marchand. Il conclut sa première vente à douze ans.

Pendant quatorze ans il dédia sa vie à l’art du commerce. Vivant à bord du vieux cargo qui l’avait vu naître, il parcourut la galaxie avec sa famille adoptive.

Pendant l’année 2496, Jean décida de profiter d’une mission de transport long courrier pour passer quelques semaines sur Terre, car ce genre de missions avait tendance à être aussi long qu’ennuyeux.
Lors de ce trajet, le La Rochelle eu un grave accident qui ne laissa aucun survivant.

Grace à ses talents de marchand Jean survécu sur Terre. Assez vite il se fit une réputation dans les bas-quartiers de Londres. On disait là-bas que si l’on voulait acheter quelque chose, La Rochelle le vendais. C’est ainsi qu’après deux ans de marchandage de rue Jean fut engagé comme vendeur dans une vieille épicerie nommée Kheops.

Un an plus tard, le propriétaire de l’épicerie prit sa retraite et légua son commerce à Jean. Ce legs marqua le début de la fulgurante ascension de Jean La Rochelle et de ce qui deviendra la Pyramid Corp.

En 2499, l’épicerie Kheops devint Kheops Distribution. Jean utilisa tout ses capitaux pour acheter l’accès à des denrées rares tel que le Caviar ou le Vin français. Denrées qu’il arriva à vendre surprenamment bien malgré le milieu relativement pauvre ou son commerce était placé.

En 2502, Kheops Distribution avait deux douzaines d’employés reparti sur cinq boutiques stratégiquement placé dans la ville. Quelques années avaient suffi pour que le nom La Rochelle soit associé à la gastronomie et au luxe dans tout Londres.

En 2512, Jean signa avec Pacific Global Transport Company un contrat qui fusionna cette dernière et Kheops Distribution. Pyramid Corp était née. Ce contrat très bénéfique permis à Jean d’exporter ses luxueuses marchandises sur tous les continents.

En 2519, Pyramid Corp rachète et incorpore Galacitc Logistic Solutions, une entreprise de transport spatiale, et s’étends à travers la galaxie. Proposant des services et des produits de luxe et non plus seulement de la nourriture rare, Pyramid Corp rentre dans une grande phase d’expansion économique et rentre en Bourse. Bien accueillie par les investisseurs, Pyramid rachète un grand nombre de petites entreprises et signe tout autant de contrats avec de grandes entreprises.

C’est en 2534 que Pyramid Corp se diversifie vraiment. Gardant sa réputation commerciale de qualité et de luxe, Pyramid commence à être reconnue pour ses services de transport et d’immobilier. Peu de temps après, Jean La Rochelle, devenu milliardaire, prend sa retraite laissant la direction de Pyramid au Conseil.

La Corporation continua d’évoluer et de grandir.

En 2601, Pyramid Corp était galactiquement célèbre pour ses services militaires de sécurité, ses services d’ingénierie, d’immobilier, de transport, de haute technologie, de construction, d’exploitation minière, de freelancing et d’exploration. Pesant plusieurs centaines de milliards en bourse, Pyramid Corp était une compagnie majeure et influente. Elle le restera pendant encore plus de 200 ans.

En 2851, alors que la compagnie était encore en plein essor, et pour des raisons inconnues, le Conseil décida de fermer toute les opérations et de licencier tous les employés. Un énorme scandale éclatât. La valeur de la Pyramid Corp d’effondra. Le Conseil vendit la Corporation à un indépendant, qui a souhaité rester anonyme, puis disparut.

Pyramid Corp fut mis en stand-by et personne n’en entendit parler pendant près de 100 ans.

Apres une longue hibernation, le peu qu’il restait de la Pyramid Corp fut très discrètement mis aux enchères et racheté par Nova Stream Investissements avec un objectif simple, d’honorer la mémoire de Jean La Rochelle en faisant renaître cette Corporation. En la faisant grandir autant en taille qu’en puissance.
Son créateur fut célèbre pendant deux siècles pour avoir prouvé à tous qu’il est possible de bâtir un empire à partir de volonté seulement qu’il est possible de vivre ses rêves sans concession. Comme disais La Rochelle “chaque rêve est bâti sur de l’argent”. Et Pyramid Corp est un nom synonyme de richesse.
