Dedicated to building the fastest and winning-est racing team in the ‘verse. Speedy fleet also contracted out for all-purpose recon runs. Proudly carrying on the legacy of the late great champion ‘Raw’ Bert Baxter.

History

Our honorable founder was none other than the legendary ‘Raw’ Bert Baxter. For those who’ve never heard the tale, the champ got his name from his lifelong tendency to race hoverbikes, minijets, and any land, sea or air vehicle capable of breakneck speed, without the use of windshields. Starting from early childhood, Bert relied on nothing more than goggles and pure adrenaline to stand between him and the ferocious barrage of wind, rain, dirt and countless insects, claiming that it was the only way he could fully ‘feel the course’. Naturally by his adult years, he had developed quite the ‘raw’ visage to go along with his nickname.

Obviously his quirky tradition didn’t carry over to spaceships when he began what would become a pro career. But his passion for being the fastest did. From the Murray Cup to dangerous underground race scenes, Bert’s reputation was that of a force of nature; wild, unpredictable and definitely not to be underestimated. But of course after years of trophies, accolades and fame, it was that very wildness that likely claimed his life, one fateful race through a volatile nebula in which he never crossed the finish line. His competitors who last saw him reported that he went off course trying to shave off a few corners, a gambit that most consider suicidal when inside a vast electromagnetic storm cloud. But such was the intensity of spirit and conviction of one of racing’s greatest, and certainly most unique legends.

Manifesto

Our organization has expanded and evolved quite a bit since ‘Raw’ Bert’s original ragtag crew of velocity junkies and gear heads. Yet we hold it in our hearts that were he alive today, Bert would be proud of our dedication to carrying on his legacy, in always striving to surpass whatever limitations block our path to ultimate glory; most importantly those caused by preconceptions and doubt.

Charter

There’s only one real rule members of Raw Bert’s Pace Industries have to follow: You must show up with a fast ship, and the sincere opinion that none are faster. It can be an M50, 350R, souped up Freelancer or whatever else you can come up with, as long as it’s capable of finishing first. We’ll help make sure it does.
