Due to rising cultural conflicts in Western-Europe, the Roman Carholic church has decided to move the Holy Sea from Vatican City to Brazil, South America.

Thousands Members were turning their backs on the Church for various reasons, mainly though, due to the loss of clear direction. This has prompted the Leaders to formulate a new doctrine. The Church re-focuses itself on very traditional values.

The Roman Catholic Church has been a strong voice against the ideas of space exploration and colonisation. The fear of a discovery of a new life form was regarded as the death nail for the Religion by its leaders.
This stance has given the Church a short comeback during the Terraforming phase of Mars, which was amplified by the Mars Tragedy of 2125.

With Mars officially Terraformed, and no further accidents, the Public opinion on space exploration shifted again, the Church was in real danger of losing all influence again.

The first Colonial spaceship is launched, secretly on board, a small Missionary team with the task of bringing the old Religion into the new world.
to this day, the Ship is lost in space.

Following years of further decline, the remaining Church leaders came to the conclusion that in order to save the Religion, a drastic change in doctrine was needed.

UNE was founded, the Church had hopes of gaining importance. Unlike with its predecessor the UN, The Roman Catholic Church however had no favours with the UNE elites and thus was given no mandates.

The Church expands its off-world activities. The majority of humanitarian missions are now carried out far from earth.

New discoveries, Turmoil and War have eaten away the faith of most people.
For the change of the century 2899-2900, the remaining leaders have sworn: by the year 3000, the Roman Catholic Church will be a force to recon with again.

Almost half way through 2900, with little time left to fulfill these objectives, the people are starting to get fanatic
