History
The original Red Hand Syndicate was a group of navy pilots who deserted the UEE in order to create a mercenary group. The group was formed in the wake of the First Tevarin War, when a number of navy pilots who had served in the war found themselves disillusioned with the UEE’s treatment of the Tevarin. The Red Hand offered their services to anyone who would pay, and quickly gained a reputation as one of the most ruthless and effective mercenary groups in the galaxy. The group’s exploits soon gained them a following among the disaffected and disenfranchised, and they became a symbol of resistance against the UEE. The Red Hand continued to operate for several years, until they were finally disbanded after a failed attempt to overthrow the UEE government.
Almost 400 years later, the passing of the “Historical Truth Act” struck a similar cord in a group of young UEE pilots. The pilots had always heard stories about the great heroic sacrifice of their predecessors during the Siege of Tiber. They were told that those men gave their lives to save the navy from a devastating attack. But, as they found out, the truth was much different. The men who died were forced to complete the suicide mission or face the consequences of insubordination. Scared that they might face the same fate, the pilots deserted the UEE navy and decided to reform the once revered Red Hand Syndicate.
Manifesto
Not through policy will power be distributed, but by blood and iron.
We are the the Red Hand Syndicate, a group of pilots who have deserted the ranks of the UEE in order to pursue a free life. We believe that the life of a soldier is not worth living if it means being nothing more than a tool of the government, and we will do whatever it takes to stay free. We believe that life is too short to waste time following orders that we don’t believe in.
We are experts in combat, and we are not afraid to use our skills to get what we want. We will take on any job, no matter how dangerous, as long as the pay is right. We are loyal to each other and to our cause, and we will never give up or back down. We always put our team first, and are willing to sacrifice our own safety for the sake of our comrades. We are not afraid to break the law, as we know that sometimes the ends justify the means.
So if you need someone to fight for you, to get the job done, you need the Red Hand. We are the best at what we do, and we will never let you down. We live for the thrill of the adventure, and love nothing more than a good battle. We are always ready for a fight, and will never back down from a challenge.
