The time has come for reckoning. We fight the oppressive rule of corporate powers in the Stanton System, and against the Imperial bureaucracy that enables them. From the indentured servants of Lorville, to the forced relocation of Microtech settlers, we strike from the shadows to fight injustice.
History
The Stanton Cell of the Resistance was created somewhere around the 2860’s, not long after the system’s discovery and subsequent annexation by the UEE. As the planets were sold off, the previous settlers and inhabitants were not just relocated, but killed and imprisoned, simply for refusing to yield their land. Formed from those not content to simply bow down to their new corporate masters, the Resistance has fought injustice throughout the system, despite overwhelming odds.

The Resistance is a semi-roleplay style organization, fashioned after the “Rebel Alliance” from Star Wars. The aim is to hold semi-regular org events with in-lore justification. Leadership is split between each planet. Each planetary “cell” can host its own events, or join those of another. Regular attendance and participation is not required unless in a leadership position.

Q: Is roleplay required? Do you need to have a character name?
A: No, not at all. There should be some lore justification for the events we’re holding and missions we undertake, but nothing is required beyond that
Q: What is an “irregular”?
A: The Irregular rank is for people who want to participate very casually. Think mercenaries. It’s for those who want to help and be involved, but aren’t sure about officially “joining”
Manifesto
The Resistance in Stanton is dedicated to restoring democratic control from the oppressive corporate authorities, back to the people, who for hundreds of years have had no representation in the UEE. On Hurston, hundreds of thousands find themselves trapped in indentured servitude, forced to work in inhumane conditions, laboring to pay off insurmountable debts that many were simply born into. The Resistance maintains many operations here, smuggling these oppressed people out of the system, and liberating political prisoners from the infamous Klescher Rehabilitation Facility.
On Microtech, rural settlers are constantly harassed and displaced by local security, for the crime of having nowhere else to go. Adding insult to injury, many of these colonists are descendants of the original settlers, who arrived on Microtech long before it was bought by it’s corporate masters.
ArcCorp was once home to a beautiful natural ecosystem, now paved over and replaced with sprawling corporate towers and industrial parks. Much of this real estate lay empty, in hopes of future expansion, while the homeless and destitute live in deplorable conditions deep beneath the planets urban exterior. Poverty and disease run rampant as untold thousands shelter in cooling pipes and forgotten metro tunnels, but even there they are not safe from the watchful eye of corporate security. They are ushered along, kept ever moving and unable to gain a foothold. The stragglers are rounded up and sent to Hurston to augment the labor force.
