Revenant Federation / REVNTCRTEL

We were first established as Revenant Company by Yorick Ainsworth A.K.A Yorick the Undying and his brother Davros Ainsworth in 2865 shortly after retiring as a UEE naval officer. They founded the company to provide work for retired military personnel who weren’t ready to leave the life of service. The banner of Revenant Company contracted themselves to work solely for the UEE as a private Bounty Hunting Company. The decision seemed to be very profitable for the company and beneficial to the UEE in not having to utilize their own troops to take on small contingents of terrorist groups or individual instigators. This would also become the company’s undoing.

In 2873 Yorick had a falling out with the UEE leading the Revenant Company’s contract from being discontinued and all current members from being disallowed to find work within private security forces in UEE space. As many of the veterans working in the company had come to rely on the work to take care of their families, Yorick felt obligated to take care of his disenfranchised soldier. He had no choice but to seek contracts in the lawless systems. Unfortunately bounty hunting contracts were in small supply. Instead he chose to repurpose the company into smuggling. With their extensive intelligence in how the UEE patrolled they were able to create routes to avoid detection. With their constant success they slowly began to refer to themselves as Revenant Cartel. They expanded their membership beyond just veterans of the UEE to anyone capable of efficiently smuggling or security escort.

Revenant Cartel had a short run. Just a few years after there inception they were discovered by the UEE. Their quick expansion through success had led to them being discovered and were made a priority to be taken down. The UEE forced direct conflict that lasted just under a year. Within that time most of the Cartel had been destroyed with more members killed than arrested, Yorick being one. His moniker earned in the UEE as the Undying had finally found his end. His brother attempted to keep the cartel alive in the shadows before deciding to liquidate the remainder of the assets available and going on the help raise his nephews left fatherless after Yorick’s death.

Verus and Korjenko Ainsworth were trained by their uncle in both combat and smuggling in hopes that with them they could revive the Revenant Cartel once again. Though Davros had become bitter and resentful of the UEE that hate did not pass onto Verus and Korjenko. The new brothers chose to revive the Revenant name for a time beginning in 2948.

Though they saw moderate success they decided that keeping their fathers legacy in the shadows did him no justice. Instead they chose to work to restore the good name of their father and the glory Revenant Company had obtained. In 2953 the Ainsworth brothers rebranded the organization as Revenant Federation. Seeking to legitimize their trading and freelance operations they gave up smuggling and all illicit work and began recruiting any looking for their own second chances.
