History
The Rogue Legion was born out of necessity and survival, forged in the heart of conflict and chaos that has plagued the universe for centuries. Its story is one of betrayal, rebellion, and the thirst for freedom, shaping it into a powerful force operating in the shadows of both the UEE and criminal organizations.
Founding and Early Years (2930s-2940s):
The Rogue Legion’s origins trace back to a group of elite soldiers who were once part of the UEE Marine Corps and UEE Navy. After being involved in a failed mission deep in the fringe systems, the unit was abandoned by their superiors, left stranded on a remote station in the Pyro system. With no means of returning home and surrounded by hostile forces, they were forced to make a choice: surrender to the UEE’s bureaucratic system and face dishonor, or break away and fight for their survival.
Opting for the latter, the group staged a rebellion against their UEE captors, seizing weapons and supplies, and eventually establishing a new purpose: becoming a band of highly skilled mercenaries who operated outside the law. They adopted the name The Rogue Legion to symbolize their defiance and their commitment to living by their own code.
In their early years, the Rogue Legion relied on hit-and-run tactics, piracy, and mercenary contracts with disreputable corporations. Their reputation quickly grew as an effective, ruthless force that could get the job done, no matter the cost. They became known for their ability to perform seemingly impossible missions, earning them both enemies and loyal clients in the criminal underworld.
Expansion and the War for Independence (2950s):
In the 2950s, the Rogue Legion’s operations expanded into the Stanton system and beyond, making key alliances with other renegade groups, outlaw factions, and even pirate syndicates. Their reputation as skilled tacticians and ruthless fighters made them highly sought after, but also a target for the UEE and corporate security forces.
During this time, the Legion’s leader, Commander xXRogueXx, a former UEE Navy Pilot who had been dishonorably discharged for unknown reasons, pushed the Legion to take on more significant and dangerous contracts. Their greatest challenge came when they were hired to protect a fugitive, a former UEE senator who had been accused of embezzling vast sums of money. This led to a series of battles against UEE forces and rival PMCs, culminating in a brutal conflict with the UEE Navy. The Legion’s victory in these skirmishes solidified their reputation as a PMC that was not to be underestimated.

Preamble
We, the members of The Rogue Legion, hereby establish this Charter as the guiding document of our existence. Through this, we bind ourselves not to the laws of corrupt empires or corporate greed, but to a higher cause — the cause of freedom, loyalty, strength, and unity. In the vast and lawless expanse of the galaxy, we are the last defenders of those who seek to live on their own terms, and the executioners of those who stand in the way of our destiny.
We recognize the need for order, discipline, and structure in our operations, but also the necessity of rebellion against all that seeks to control or subjugate. This Charter sets forth the principles, obligations, and roles that will guide our actions and ensure the continued survival and success of The Rogue Legion.
Article I: The Mission of The Rogue Legion
Primary Mission: The Rogue Legion exists to provide highly skilled, untraceable, and morally flexible military services to those who can afford them, while simultaneously undermining those who seek to control or oppress the free peoples of the galaxy.
Freedom and Independence: We will never serve any government or corporation without cause. Our services will always be for those who align with our values of freedom and self-determination.
Justice on Our Terms: The Legion will carry out missions of tactical advantage, sabotage, extraction, assassination, and combat in the defense of those who deserve our protection or vengeance.
Article II: Structure and Leadership
The Council of Commanders: The Rogue Legion shall be led by a group of commanders who form the Council of Commanders. This group is responsible for making key decisions, including strategic direction, recruitment, and determining the allocation of resources. The Council is elected by the active members of the Legion, with the power to appoint new commanders as necessary.
Commander: The highest-ranking officer, responsible for the overall direction and leadership of the Legion. The Commander ensures that the Legion’s principles are upheld and that all resources are used efficiently.
Vice-Commander: The second-in-command, who steps into the Commander’s role when they are absent and helps manage daily operations. The Vice-Commander may also oversee specific Legion branches.

Legionnaires: These are the core members of The Rogue Legion. Every Legionnaire is required to be a proven combatant or skilled professional, capable of carrying out missions independently or as part of a squad. Legionnaires are expected to show loyalty, discipline, and the ability to execute the Legion’s goals without hesitation.
Recruits: New members seeking to join The Rogue Legion must undergo a probationary period, where they prove their loyalty, skills, and resolve. During this period, they will be evaluated by the commanders and existing Legionnaires. Successful recruits will be formally inducted into the Legion with a rank of Legionnaire.

Discipline and Efficiency: The Legion’s success depends on each member’s ability to carry out orders swiftly and without question. While we cherish individual freedom, we will not tolerate insubordination or failure in the field.

Article IV: Rights and Responsibilities of Legionnaires
Rights:
Every Legionnaire has the right to challenge the leadership in matters of policy and strategy in a fair and just manner.
Legionnaires may request resources for their personal operations as long as it does not conflict with Legion objectives.
Every Legionnaire has the right to vote on key decisions during Council elections and important strategic discussions.
Responsibilities:
Uphold the Code: Each Legionnaire must adhere to the Legion’s code of conduct, whether in battle or in dealings with clients and allies.
Mission Fulfillment: All Legionnaires must fulfill their assigned roles during active missions and be ready to act at any time. Failure to execute mission orders is a betrayal of the Legion.
Mutual Protection: If a fellow Legionnaire is in danger, it is the responsibility of all others to provide aid, ensuring that no member is left behind, no matter the circumstance.
Article V: Recruitment and Initiation
Recruitment Process:
The Rogue Legion seeks only those who understand the value of freedom, strength, and independence. Potential recruits must demonstrate their combat proficiency and strategic thinking. New recruits will undergo a trial period where they are evaluated in live combat and on their ability to work within the Legion’s ranks.

Upon successful completion of their trial period, recruits will be formally inducted into the Legion through an oath, pledging loyalty to the Legion’s cause and to their comrades. This is a sacred ceremony, marking the beginning of their life as a Legionnaire.
Article VI: Dissolution and Expulsion
Expulsion:
A Legionnaire who fails to uphold the values of the Legion — through betrayal, cowardice, or gross negligence — will be expelled from the organization. The decision for expulsion will be made by a majority of the Council. Expelled members are banned from ever returning to the Legion.
Dissolution of the Legion:
Should the Legion ever face the prospect of dissolution, the Council of Commanders will call an emergency session to decide the future. Should a majority decide that the Legion’s mission has been compromised beyond recovery, the Legion will dissolve and its assets will be distributed according to the wishes of the remaining Legionnaires.
Article VII: Amendments
This Charter may be amended at any time by a majority vote of the Council of Commanders. Any proposed changes will be discussed and debated, with all Legionnaires given the opportunity to provide input.

By the authority granted by the leadership of The Rogue Legion, we, the undersigned commanders and Legionnaires, do hereby adopt and ratify this Charter as the guiding framework of our operations and beliefs.
