History

The Breaking Point — 2950

For years, the miners of Hurston Dynamics toiled in silence. Cycle after cycle, they broke their backs on irradiated moons like Arial and Lyria, breathing recycled air through spent filters, watching their health deteriorate while Hurston executives counted credits in climate-controlled towers. They were not employees. They were assets — expendable, replaceable, and invisible. By 2950, a small group of these miners had reached their limit.

The Pact — 2951

Deep in the Lagrange belt, three veterans of Hurston’s mining operations met over stale mull at a dimly lit station bar. What began as bitter venting turned into something far more dangerous: a plan. That night, a stranger — a man who called himself Yigit — approached their table. He had heard everything. He offered them something no Hurston foreman ever had: a choice. With nothing to their names but worn-out tools, broken suits, and an unquenchable hatred for the system that had consumed them, they made a pact. They would not just escape Hurston’s grip — they would build something powerful enough to challenge it. On September 16, 2951, RivalCorp was officially filed for incorporation.

From the Ashes — 2951-2952

The early days were brutal. Operating out of a battered Drake Cutlass with a single functioning engine, the founding members of RVAL had no credits, no allies, and no safety net. They ran salvage contracts, scraped together equipment, and trained — learning to fly, to fight, and to operate in a ‘verse that had never done them any favors. Every credit earned was reinvested. Every mission brought them closer to the vision that had kept them alive through the worst of Hurston’s mines: freedom, and the power to defend it.

Growth & Expansion — 2952-Present

What began as an act of defiance grew into a legitimate industrial force. RivalCorp expanded rapidly, branching beyond mining into:

  • Trading — establishing supply lines across Stanton and beyond
  • Manufacturing — producing spacecraft components and industrial goods
  • Freelancing — taking contracts that built their reputation across the systems
  • Heavy Industry — scaling operations to compete with the corporate giants they once served

With growing influence and a reputation for integrity and results, RVAL established its permanent headquarters in Fujin City, Saisei, Centauri — a deliberate choice, far from the long shadow of Hurston.

Today

RivalCorp stands as proof that the people Hurston tried to break built something they never could: an organization driven not by greed, but by purpose. Under the leadership of NaughtyPickle (CEO), Elidoril (COO), yigittopcu (CTO), and Errer (CMO), RVAL continues to grow — not just as a corporation, but as a community of people who chose a different path.

The Hurston family took everything from us once.
We made sure they’d never get the chance again.

“Fuck this suit, fuck this rock, and fuck you, Hurston.”
— NaughtyPickle, co-founder, Lyria, 2951

Description

Born from the wreckage of corporate exploitation, RivalCorp is an independent industrial corporation built on the belief that the ‘verse belongs to those willing to fight for it — not those who inherit it. We are miners, traders, builders, and fighters. We answer to no dynasty, no megacorp, and no foreman.

Vision

To be the most formidable independent industrial force in the ‘verse — measured not only by output and profit, but by the loyalty of our crew, the trust of our partners, and the fear of our enemies.

Mission

To develop technology, products, and services that sustain and grow civilisation across multiple systems — driving economic progress, environmental responsibility, and human dignity throughout the universe.

Corporate Responsibility

As an intergalactic corporation forged by those who suffered under unchecked corporate power, we hold ourselves to a higher standard. We invest in sustainable growth, support local communities, and operate with the transparency we were never shown. What we build, we build to last — and to benefit more than just our bottom line.

Core Values
  1. Safety First: Every crew member goes home. Safety is not a policy — it is a promise.
  2. High Integrity: We built this on honesty. We don’t cut corners, betray allies, or bow to corruption.
  3. Results Driven: We deliver. Through accountability, collaboration, and relentless improvement.
  4. Crew First: Our people are not assets. They are the foundation of everything we are.
  5. Diversity & Inclusion: We don’t care where you’re from. We care what you bring.
  6. Environmental and Social Responsibility: We’ve seen what unchecked industry does to people and planets. We refuse to be that story.

Charter

Charter

Welcome to RivalCorp — RVAL. We didn’t build this organization to be another faceless megacorp. We built it to be something worth belonging to. Below are the guidelines that keep us sharp, unified, and worth flying for.

Promotion within RVAL

Advancement is earned, not given. To qualify for promotion:

  • RVAL must be your main organization on the RSI website. RSI’s affiliate limitations prevent us from promoting members who are not fully committed.
  • RVAL is built on the reliability of its members. When the crew needs you, we expect you to show up.

Code of Conduct

  • Combat Etiquette — Be courteous to your opponent. You win, you move on. You lose, you say gf and move on. No exceptions.
  • Civility — Keep it civil. Profanity is not banned — but using it as a weapon against others is. Know the difference.
  • Zero Toxicity — We do not tolerate smack talk, trash talking newer players, or ego-driven behaviour of any kind. We’ve all been the new guy.
  • Legacy — Every time you log in, you represent RVAL. On Spectrum, Discord, in-game chat — everywhere. Carry the banner with pride or don’t carry it at all.
  • Repercussions — Violation of any of the above is grounds for immediate removal. No warnings, no second chances for serious breaches.

Who We Are

RVAL was founded by people who had everything stripped from them and chose to build something better. That origin is not just history — it is the standard we hold ourselves to.

We expect our members to carry that spirit:

  • Resilience — When things go wrong, and they will, you adapt. You don’t quit, you don’t blame, you find a way.
  • Loyalty — Your crew is your family. You don’t leave them stranded, you don’t sell them out, and you don’t fly solo when they need you.
  • Humility — No one here is above the mission. CEOs haul cargo. Commanders take orders. Ego is dead weight.
  • Grit — We started with a broken Cutlass and a grudge. If you’re looking for the easy path, you’re in the wrong org.
  • Honour — We fight hard and we fight fair. How you carry yourself in victory says more about you than the win itself.

We are not the richest. We are not the largest. But we are the ones who chose this — and that makes all the difference.
