Safe Combat Solutions was formed in the year 2548 as a private military contracting firm in order to meet the rising demands for military action after Ivar Messer became Prime Citizen. The call for rapid expansion was well met by the ever expanding line of Aegis Dynamics military grade ships. With a multitude of Retaliators and Redeemers, Safe Solutions was the helping hand in the acquisition of many new planets for the UEE. As Messer rule continued and the uneasiness towards the Xi’an increased, Safe Solutions became a tool for administering propaganda and even spearheading covert operations against the Xi’an. These covert operations went on for half a century including assassinations, sanctioned piracy, and the collection and transfer of intelligence. At that time Safe Combat Solutions was one of the most active and respected private military companies working for Messer.

After the fall of the Messer Autocracy in 2792, Safe Combat Solutions met with the same inevitable fate as many other corporations that were heavily involved in Messer business. The radical change from military to peaceful actions, forced by the Fair Chance Act, hit military contractors very hard. In 2867 Safe Solutions was at the point of near bankruptcy when a new CEO, Daniel Williams, called for a complete overhaul of the corporation in order to make amends for its past atrocities. Most of Safe Combat Solutions military ships were sold off in order to recoup the financial losses and a specialization in small claims cargo was established. Many of the shareholders and members left the company removing their investments rather than be a part of a “gutless company.” All that remained were the dedicated few who felt that Safe Solutions needed to atone for its past sins under the Messer Autocracy. In 2900 Safe Solutions debts were paid and the PR overhaul was complete. All that remained of Safe Solutions noble fleet was a Retaliator and the meager remnants of their Aegis Dynamics military ships, along with the addition of a Constellation Andromeda flagship as the new face of Safe Solutions.

In 2911 Safe Combat Solutions was on a cargo run from Sol to Cestulus in the Davien system when a distress call was picked up from close by. At this point Captain Daniel Williams made the decision to respond to the call. When Safe Combat Solutions’ Retaliator, The Mandatum’ocul, and Constellation Andromeda, The Gytrash, arrived on the scene it was quickly realized that the distress call was coming from a Genesis Starliner that had been destroyed by pirates, leaving the passengers stranded and dying. Immediately Safe Combat Solutions sent out a signal of their own directed at Sol requesting more help for the hundred or so passengers still alive. Doing what they could the crew of The Gytrash went EVA to bring food, water, and medical treatment to the survivors while reinforcement was on the way, while The Mandatum’ocul provided cover, for the possible return of the pirates, which happened not soon after the rescue began. Safe Combat Solutions was left to fight for the survivors and their own ships. After almost an hour of fighting, the long awaited reinforcements showed up including UEE military, medical, and news personnel. The remaining pirates were dealt with quickly and the survivors of the Starliner were brought aboard the UEE Idris for relief. News crews immediately began telling the story of how Safe Combat Solutions saved the crew of an entire Starliner. Following this event Safe Combat Solutions new dedication was to be first and foremost to helping others by protecting Sol and those in neighboring systems as well as providing humanitarian aid to those further away. At this point the company began to be increasingly more successful.

While still remaining a small organization Safe Combat Solutions now supports greater cargo transportation with a Hull C and a Constellation Andromeda flagship, along with our dedicated Aegis escorts including the Gladius, Avenger, Vanguard, and of course Retaliator. These ships also allow us to collect bounties and provide escort to larger corporations, along with sticking to our humanitarian pledge. Safe Combat Solutions recently gained the ability to perform salvage support to larger corporations in thanks to our Reclaimer.

The phrase “Safe Sol” was coined by our contractors in reference to how our company’s dedication and service puts their soul at ease. It is of course a reference to the company’s home system. It became a quick sound bite for Safe Combat Solutions during its recovery and we even integrated into the corporate manifesto. Piece by piece and over many years Safe Combat Solutions has been striving to be the most efficient humanitarian aid and small claims cargo haulers in the galaxy but are also established as a “jack-of-all-trades” corporation. This ensures that we will keep our customers satisfied with the ability to meet their varied needs and to give them the “Safe Sol” guarantee.
