Welcome to Space Adventures and Galactic Activities Network (SAGAN)- an organization that pays homage to Carl Sagan and his ideals. If you like space, science, and exploration as much as we do then join our group to have fun exploring the Cosmos with like minded people! :-)

History

Cosmos: A Personal Voyage is a television series that was made by Carl Sagan in 1980. Since then it has inspired generations of people to reach for the stars. My father introduced the series to me when I was around 9. I was hooked and it forever changed the way I look at the universe. Sagan presented scientific information and theories in such a way that it was accessible and interesting to people of all walks of life. Not only did he share interesting information, but more importantly, he showed the beauty of wonder and curiosity, kindness and empathy, rationality and logic. He showed us the problems we face and the great potential we have as a species.

If I had to pick an individual closest resembling a spiritual leader for me, it would be Carl Sagan. I have a feeling I am not the only person drawn to this promising space simulation who also has a love for the Cosmos and Carl Sagan. It is my hope that people who have had a similar experience will join. I think this can lead to a wonderful community of people. People of all walks of life, no matter your perspective, are welcomed and encouraged to join.

Manifesto

This organization is intended for the peaceful and cooperative exploration of the Cosmos. Did you find a cool spacial anomaly or perhaps an efficient method of getting to the fringes of know space? Let us know! And we’ll do the same for you!

“A still more glorious dawn awaits, not a sunrise, but a galaxy rise, a morning filled with 400 billion suns, the rising of the milky way.”
-Carl Sagan
