## THE HISTORY OF SALTS COMMAND
Salts Command began when two small groups of experienced Star Citizen players crossed paths and realized they were looking for the same thing: a mature, organized, drama-free crew where people could enjoy the game, work together, and leave the politics and nonsense behind.
We shared the same basic values—**straight talk, teamwork, personal responsibility, mutual respect, and real life always comes first.** We didn’t want unnecessary ranks, egos, or hierarchy for hierarchy’s sake. We wanted a crew where people contributed because they wanted to be part of something, not because someone was constantly telling them what to do.
So we combined forces and built Salts Command.
Since then, SALCOM has grown into a multi-role Star Citizen community with members pursuing nearly every corner of the ‘verse. We mine, salvage, haul cargo, explore, hunt bounties, run mercenary operations, fight on the ground and in space, crew each other’s ships, chase new content, and occasionally find entirely new ways to get ourselves killed.
Some nights we’re running organized operations. Other nights we’re helping someone earn credits, testing a new patch, teaching a newer player, hunting down rare gear, or just hanging out on comms while everyone does their own thing.
What matters is the crew.
We welcome mature players 18+, from seasoned veterans with hangars full of ships to brand-new citizens still figuring out which end of the ship points forward. You don’t have to know everything. You don’t have to own expensive ships. You just need to respect the people you’re flying with, communicate, contribute when you’re part of an operation, and enjoy being part of the community.
Salts Command started as a handful of like-minded players looking for a better crew.
We’re still that crew. There are just more of us now.
Fly Hard. Shoot Straight. Make UEC. No BS.

## SALTS COMMAND MANIFESTO
We push hard into new content with every patch.
Star Citizen is constantly evolving, and Salts Command intends to evolve with it. With each major update, we get our crews together, explore what’s new, learn the mechanics, and find the best ways to tackle the latest content as an organization.
Whether it’s mining, salvage, cargo hauling, crafting, engineering, exploration, bounty hunting, mercenary operations, FPS combat, ship-to-ship combat, or whatever comes next, we want our members experiencing it together.
We’re a multi-role organization. We don’t expect everyone to specialize in the same career or fly the same ships. Some of us live for industry. Some want combat. Others want exploration, logistics, support, or simply a good crew to run missions with. That diversity is one of our strengths.
Real life comes first. When you’re online, though, we encourage you to get involved. Join the crew, share missions, help other members, learn something new, and contribute to the operation.
Veteran or rookie, fighter pilot or miner, solo ship owner or capital-ship crewman—there’s a place for you here if you’re willing to be part of the team.
New patch. New missions. New opportunities. Same crew.
Salts Command — More Than a Crew. A Community.
## Preamble
We are **Salts Command**—a mature, no-drama Star Citizen community built around teamwork, personal responsibility, good communication, and enjoying the ‘verse with people you can count on.
Real life comes first. We don’t expect Star Citizen to become a second job, and we don’t measure membership by how many hours someone spends online. When we do come together for an operation, however, we expect everyone involved to communicate, contribute, and work toward the mission.
We’re here to fly ships, make UEC, experience everything Star Citizen has to offer, and build a community worth logging in for.
## Purpose
Salts Command exists to bring mature players together to explore the ‘verse, build wealth, master the game’s careers, experience new content, and operate effectively as a crew.
We are a multi-role organization with a primarily PvE focus and occasional PvP. Our operations generally fall within lawful-to-gray gameplay, and we adapt as Star Citizen introduces new systems, professions, locations, and opportunities.
No matter the activity, the objective remains the same:
Work together. Get the mission done. Bring the crew home. Have a good time doing it.
## Primary Activities
SALCOM participates in nearly every major career and gameplay loop Star Citizen offers, including:
• Mining — Hand, vehicle, multicrew, and ship-based operations
• Salvage — Wreck recovery, material processing, and coordinated salvage operations
• Cargo & Trading — Freight, logistics, hauling, and market runs
• Crafting & Manufacturing — Resource gathering, production, and emerging crafting systems
• Bounty Hunting — Ship and FPS contracts
• Mercenary Operations — Ground combat, defense, recovery, and contract operations
• Exploration — New locations, systems, points of interest, and emerging content
• FPS & Ship Combat — PvE operations with PvP when circumstances call for it
• Support & Medical — Recovery, logistics, transportation, and keeping the operation moving
• Multicrew Operations — Crewing everything from small ships to capital-class vessels
• New Content — When a patch introduces something new, expect SALCOM to be there figuring it out.
We aren’t tied to one profession.
If it’s fun, profitable, challenging, or gives us a reason to get the crew together, we’re interested.
## Core Values
1. Real Life Comes First
Family, work, health, and responsibilities outside the game take priority. Play when you can. Log off when you need to. No guilt trips.
2. No Unnecessary Drama
We’re adults. Disagreements happen, but personal disputes, grudges, and public arguments don’t need to become community events. Handle problems directly, privately, and respectfully.
3. Respect & Accountability
Treat other members with respect. Own your mistakes, keep your word, and contribute when you’re participating in group activities.
4. Crew Before Personal Gain
When you’re operating with the group, you’re part of the crew. Profit and reputation missions should be shared rather than hoarded. Help the operation succeed and make sure everyone benefits from the effort.
5. Pull Your Weight
Nobody expects perfection, and newer players are encouraged to learn. We do expect participation. If you’re part of an operation, contribute however you can.
6. Assume Good Intent
Mistakes happen. Star Citizen happens. Don’t immediately assume another member acted maliciously because something went wrong.
7. Communication Matters
Clear communication keeps missions organized and crews alive. Discord voice comms are expected during organized operations.
8. Mature Community — 18+
SALCOM is an adult community. Humor, language, and conversation may reflect that, but being 18+ isn’t an excuse to be deliberately toxic or disrespectful.
## Rules of Conduct
• Real life first. Come and go as life requires.
• Voice comms are required for organized operations unless circumstances prevent it.
• Mission Leads have operational authority. When an operation is underway, the designated Mission Host/Lead makes the calls necessary to keep the group coordinated.
• Mission disputes wait until the mission is over. Don’t derail an operation to argue. Finish the job, then address the issue.
• Correct privately whenever possible. Don’t publicly embarrass another member over a mistake.
• No ghosting mid-operation. If you need to leave, say something whenever possible.
• No griefing, stream-sniping, cheating, or exploiting bugs for an unfair advantage. RSI’s Terms of Service apply.
• No piracy against random or innocent players. SALCOM earns its UEC. Lawful-to-gray operations are acceptable; indiscriminate theft and griefing are not.
• Keep public-facing channels reasonable. We represent SALCOM when we’re on Spectrum, Discord, streams, or interacting with the wider Star Citizen community.
• Problems are handled based on the circumstances. Leadership may warn, mediate, suspend, or remove a member depending on the seriousness and pattern of behavior.
## Mission Sharing
When running as a group:
Profit / Reputation grind missions should be shared, not hoarded.
If you don’t want to share rewards or reputation, that’s completely fine—run the mission solo.
If you don’t have missions available to share, helping the crew complete theirs faster is still contributing to the operation.
The principle is simple:
Group before personal gain.
## Ship Philosophy
We fly whatever ship gets the job done.
Fighters, miners, salvagers, cargo ships, medical ships, exploration vessels, gunships, and capital ships all have a place in SALCOM operations.
Different manufacturers build different tools, and we’re happy to put all of them to work.
That said…
Drake makes the best ships.
Reliable. Practical. Tough. Usually held together by exposed wiring, questionable engineering decisions, and the sheer determination of the pilot.
You are absolutely allowed to fly something else.
You’re just not allowed to convince us it’s better.
## Leadership & Membership
SALCOM leadership exists to organize, support, and protect the community, not to create unnecessary hierarchy.
Leadership / Co-Leaders — Maintain the organization, make major organizational decisions, resolve serious issues, and help set SALCOM’s direction.
Mission Hosts / Leads — Take operational command during organized missions. Their authority applies to the operation they are leading.
Members — The heart of Salts Command. Participate, help others, share knowledge, run missions, and contribute to the community.
New Members — New players are welcome. Get on comms, meet the crew, participate in operations, ask questions, and find the gameplay you enjoy.
We don’t care whether your hangar contains one starter ship or an entire fleet.
The player matters more than the ship.
## Our Commitment
Salts Command will continue evolving alongside Star Citizen.
New systems will arrive. Careers will change. Ships will come and go. Entire star systems will open. Some patches will be incredible, and some will probably set our ships on fire while they’re sitting in the hangar.
Through all of it, SALCOM will continue doing what it was created to do:
Bring good people together, run great missions, help each other succeed, and enjoy the ‘verse as a crew.
## Motto
Fly Hard. Shoot Straight. Make UEC. No BS.
