History of Springfield Galactic Services
Springfield Galactic Services started out the way a lot of ventures in the ‘verse do — with a few friends, a couple of beat-up haulers, and a shared dream to build something bigger than themselves. What began as a small outfit running trade routes through the safer systems slowly grew into a tight-knit operation with a reputation for reliability, grit, and just the right amount of swagger.
In the early days, Springfield’s crews earned their living hauling refined ore, processed goods, and just about anything else that could fit in a cargo hold. When the jobs got rough or the lanes got dangerous, they didn’t back down — they adapted. That same adaptability is what pushed the company from simple cargo runs to full-scale industrial operations, with mining, refining, and logistics divisions working in sync to keep their fleet moving and their clients supplied.
Of course, the ‘verse isn’t all business. Pirates, claim jumpers, and the occasional shady contractor taught Springfield an important lesson: you can’t move goods if you can’t defend them. Out of necessity came the Security Division — a small but disciplined force of pilots, grunts and gunners who keep Springfield’s convoys safe and its reputation intact. They’re not mercenaries, but they know how to hold a line.
Today, Springfield Galactic Services stands as a dependable name across multiple systems — a blend of industry and independence, built by pilots who believe hard work and good flying can still take you far. Whether it’s hauling, mining, or securing a trade route through rough space, Springfield gets it done — no excuses, no shortcuts, just honest work among the stars.
