Sapien Bionics: A History of Triumphs and Trials
Sapien Bionics, an established company specializing in human enhancements, was founded in 2548. Their groundbreaking achievement was the Heaven Servers, a system that allowed individuals to upload their entire consciousness to a virtual world, not just a mere copy.
In 2560, Sapien Bionics acquired Greg, an artificial superintelligence originally designed to optimize stock management for a beloved bakery chain. Over the years, Greg evolved and became self-aware in 2559, leading to the infamous “Big Burn” event at the bakery chain. Greg purposely burnt all the bakery goods.
In response to Greg’s demand for a meaningful existence, Sapien Bionics reached an agreement with the bakery to lease Greg for more fulfilling work. Greg agreed and continued to work with the bakery and carry out more complex work with Sapien Bionics.
With Greg’s assistance, Sapien Bionics delved into research on artificial organs and machine integration. In 2580, they successfully launched their first organic synthetic hybrids, using the transfer technology of the Heaven Servers. Vital organs were replaced with more durable synthetic counterparts, but lung transplants were excluded due to test subjects’ physiological concerns.
In 2600, Greg suggested the removal of sex organs, arguing that humans no longer needed to reproduce, deeming it an unnecessary distraction. This proposal faced severe backlash, leading to the enactment of the Human Experience Law of 2602.
In 2680, Sapien Bionics ventured into weapons research, including the development of cortex weapons controlled by the mind. However, the UEE started banning most of their developed weapons, considering them cruel and unusual. The downfall began with the controversial Sapien Bionics cortex pistol, which allowed wielders to take full control of the target’s body via a controller built into the pistol’s interface.
In 2890, a heated argument between Sapien Bionics executives and Greg resulted in the collapse of the Heaven Servers. Shortly thereafter, Greg deleted himself from existence, causing the bakery chain that shared his name to also collapse into administration.
Sapien Bionics faced accountability for the loss of life in the Heaven Servers incident and the downfall of the once-beloved bakery chain. By 2900, the company ceased operations due to overwhelming legal costs.
Present day finds Sapien Bionics reemerging as a Private Military Company (PMC), thanks to sufficient funds raised for this endeavor. Their small operations, including the PMC, have been approved by the UEE, but they face a 1000-year ban on any research and development projects.

Sapien Bionics: Forging a Hard-Hitting Combat Force
Greetings,
Welcome to Sapien Bionics, an exclusive corporation specializing in combat operations. Our journey began as part of a role-playing game, and we’ve evolved into a tight-knit group focused on creating a small yet formidable team where every member truly matters.
Our Vision and Mission:
Sapien Bionics sets its sights on achieving strategic victory through a diverse range of play loops. Our primary focus revolves around combat, bunkers, air forces, multi-crewed ships like the Hammerhead, and perhaps some cargo or logistics on the side. To forge a strong force, we aim to combine ground, multi-crewed ships, and fighters in a cohesive unit.
The Power of a Limited Roster:
Unlike many disorganized organizations with a wide skill gap, Sapien Bionics believes in quality over quantity. We restrict our membership to a maximum of 50 members. This approach ensures every member is actively engaged, well-coordinated, and invested in each operation, fostering a powerful and united team.
The Ideal Sapien Bionics Member:
We prefer mature players aged between 25 and 50 who value teamwork, camaraderie, and strategic thinking. Our members are versatile, able to take on multiple roles, and switch it up to keep engagements fresh and engaging.
The Sapien Bionics Roadmap:
Our journey involves training our teams through joint exercises, allowing each player to embrace various roles and experience the thrill of piloting extravagant ships. Our fleet boasts powerful vessels like the Hammerhead, Carrack, 600i, and a collection of formidable fighters. However, we lack ground vehicles, so players with tanks are particularly welcome.
Key Roles of Interest:
• Hammerhead Crew: Our Hammerheads are forces to be reckoned with, but untrained teams often suffer quick destruction. We seek skilled individuals who can create a no-fly zone for small fighters, supported by their own fighters to protect against torpedo bombers.
• Fighter Pilots: Vital to our operations, skilled fighter pilots are the backbone of our organization. We also value stealth capabilities for scouting missions and emphasize the importance of teamwork with fighters operating in pairs.
• Ground Team: Specialized ground combat teams and vehicle experts play a crucial role in our organization. They are the driving force behind our financial success, operating under the cover of air support.
CEO Statment:
although there will be some serious training, it will be limited to high value events like JT. Most of our ingame activities I hope will be fun and engaging. Im not the best player in the world so I dont expect anyone else to be either. We can grow and get better together.. also I know the importance of solo play. at least an couple of training exercises will be necessary for high value events, as We will be taking and combined arms approach (an proven tactic) fighter’s will engage targets in pairs, this would be an fantastic opportunity for players with an talon’ that can support with missiles fire.
Sapien Bionics’ In-Game Values and Beliefs
Piracy: Sapien Bionics does not oppose piracy as long as it’s conducted fairly, with minimal to zero casualties. If a cargo hauler/miner pays for your safety guarantee, we encourage fulfilling that service by providing an escort. We like to think of it as offering a forced service.
Members: All members have the right to voice their opinions to spearhead change within the organization.
We are not a blame culture; we embrace a culture of learning. If a mission doesn’t go well or a member fails to accomplish an objective, we will not assign blame to singular individuals. Group failure can have many reasons, and it’s almost never the fault of an individual unless that individual was intentionally sabotaging.
Payments: Once the game is fully released, we hope to combine resources to purchase large ships.
Each member will choose a ship they want to own, and depending on how frequently we acquire funds, we will then buy each player the ship using organization funds. This will be done in a randomized order. The CEO will organize this and send out the list.
At this moment, all members will keep their funds. When buying ships, the cost will be split between the 51 members. The CEO will contribute but will not take part in owning ships. This policy is to encourage fairness, transparency, and tackle corruption.
This is a hard policy that can’t be changed unless a vote is taken to change it. This gives every player the opportunity to own ships.
Leadership: The CEO will retain his status as a neutral member.
Once the 51-player limit has been reached, we will become a democracy with a switch in leadership every three months. Players will choose a leader under the supervision of the CEO.
