Hey fellow Citizens!
SCANZ is a Star Citizen community for Australia & New Zealand, built around good people, bad ideas, and memorable moments.
We are not here to tell you how to play the game. We are here to make it easier to find people to play it with.
SCANZ started as a place for Australian and New Zealand players to find each other in the ‘verse. Since then, it has grown into an active community of pilots, haulers, miners, salvagers, fighters, explorers, screenshot goblins, event runners, guide writers, and people who absolutely should not be trusted with a Reclaimer.
Some of us are serious.
Some of us are not.
Most of us are a dangerous mix of both.
We believe Star Citizen is at its best when players are free to play the game the way they want to play it.
That means you will find people in SCANZ doing all kinds of things:
You do not need to be an expert pilot.
You do not need to be online every night.
You do not need to fit into one narrow play style.
Show up, get involved, and find your people.
SCANZ is a community first.
We are casual without being inactive, organised without being milsim, and friendly without pretending the ‘verse is safe.
Events are created by the people who want to run them. Content is shaped by the people who show up. Whether it is a large group operation, a quiet mining night, a PvP brawl, a rescue gone wrong, or a cargo run that somehow becomes a crime scene, SCANZ is built around making those moments happen.
If you are in Australia or New Zealand and looking for a Star Citizen community that is active, welcoming, and proudly unserious, come say hello.

See you in the ‘verse.
SCANZ is for people who want to play their way.
No strict roles.
No forced playstyles.
No attendance quotas.
No pretending this is a second job.
We are a Star Citizen community built around good people, bad ideas, and memorable moments.
Some of us fight.
Some of us haul.
Some of us mine, salvage, explore, teach, build tools, take screenshots, write guides, or turn simple plans into complete disasters.
All of it counts.
You can fly solo, run with a small crew, or jump into group ops when something kicks off. There is usually something happening, and when there is not, someone is probably about to cause a problem worth joining.
We are casual when it does not matter,
and dialled in when it does.
We do not overcomplicate things.
We do not need a rank structure to be useful.
We do not need to tell people how to enjoy the game.
There is one rule:
Don’t be a dickhead.
If that makes sense to you, you will probably fit right in.
Fly your way.
Fly with SCANZ.
SCANZ operates on a simple principle:
Freedom of play, with clear expectations.
We do not exist to tell people how to play Star Citizen. Members are free to fly solo, crew up, join events, run their own content, PvP, haul, mine, salvage, explore, trade, teach, build, or make deeply questionable decisions in the name of content.
All playstyles are valid.
That freedom comes with a shared standard:
Don’t be a dickhead.
Mistakes happen. Misfires happen. Bad calls happen. Most issues can be resolved with a conversation before they become a problem.
SCANZ is casual by design, but the community matters.
Members are expected to support the space they are part of. That does not mean mandatory attendance, forced events, or pretending this is a second job. It means showing up in good faith, helping where you can, and not making the place worse for everyone else.
We do not need heavy rules to function.
We do not need ego to lead.
We do not need permission to play the game our way.
No ego.
No unnecessary rules.
No forced playstyles.
Just a reliable group, mutual respect, and a shared standard.
Fly your way.
Hold the line.
