“Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn.”

-Benjamin Franklin

History

Star Citizen University is a place for Learning, Leadership, and Friendship

Learning, Leadership, and Friendship. These three traits are key elements in the enjoyment of players in other training organizations all across the gaming multi-verse. Through structured classes, people are able to leap past the vast learning curves of open world games and become a driving force in the glorious tales of war, subterfuge, wealth, and discovery. Through leadership, players are taken on adventures unique and exciting in every new iteration, stories unfolding in moments that will be talked about through the existence of the universe. Through friendship, people gain comfort and a sense of belonging that allows them to outlast the low moments of in game life, learning and growing along the way.

Star Citizen University (SCUNI) was founded to mimic the friendly environment of EvE University (E-Uni), a training corporation in EvE Online. E-Uni made the harrowing climb of understanding EvE mechanics seem not so daunting after all. Through E-Uni, players were able to learn intricate aspects of the game, discover their leadership potential, and create friendships that lasted even after game time. Seeing an opportunity to be that driving force in the game experience of others, SCUNI was created as a way to honor and respect E-Uni by both improving and mimicking its theories in this new and exciting universe we call Star Citizen. With new mechanics like multi-crew ships, planetary and moon landings, volatile mining, and other Star Citizen specific features, new challenges await for a whole new era of learning and sharing. This time, the Stars really are the limit—and it is a limit we will push.
