SumaFitz Enterprises (SFE), the safest, most reliable, and confidential means of transporting your cargo, while also offering top tier trade opportunities. Our ships are manned by first rate crews, primarily consisting of former Naval Service Members. Standing at the ready!

History

SumaFitz Enterprises predates the United Nations of Earth by two to three centuries, but early records are incomplete, so the details of its founding are unclear. What is surmised is that two families with both political and industrial ambitions from South East Asia and North America, formed a privately owned, international trade company in the early 21st century.

While the details are limited, the archives show that the corporation was running a long-haul transport mission in 2445 when the ship received a distress call from a Banu ship caught in a gravity well. The SFE cargo being transported was so valuable that the CEO, Genov Sumariyanto, happened to be personally overseeing the activities. When the Captain reported the distress call to her, she gave her full support to attempt to help the Banu. Ultimately the only way to do so was to jettison their cargo, even though it would likely bankrupt the corporation, but Genov said it was their duty to save the Banu. While the cargo was lost, and the ship sustained damage, the crew of the Banu vessel were rescued. The Banu, being forever grateful, forged a lasting relationship with SumaFitz Enterprises, even keeping the company solvent by offering new trade opportunities. That relationship carries through to today as can be seen by the Banu Merchantman that is the trade flag ship for SFE.

During the Messer era, SumaFitz Enterprises often spoke up against Unite Empire of Earth policy. This led to the revocation of operating licenses and seizure of corporate property. This is when many of the early records of the company were lost. In 2797, not long after the fall of Messer, a distant relative with claims on SumaFitz Enterprises fought to reestablish the corporation and after a decade of legal battles, was able to reopen the company doors in 2808.

In 2941 the reigns were taken over by Durango Fitz, who preferred to go by Capt’n Fitz. Unfortunately, Durango broke away from the long history of strong and ethical leadership, quickly driving the company to the point of breaking as he siphoned funds and sold assets to cover his extensive gambling debt along with his infamous parties. After finally being caught in a scam to defraud the company, customers, and insurance provider, the board removed him from power. He is currently on the run from the law and believed to have joined a pirate syndicate.

With minimal assets and a tarnished reputation, SumaFitz Enterprises seemed doomed. Once again though, the company was saved from going under. It was none other than Durango Fitz’s own nephew, Asa Dexter, that provided the life-line. Asa had an exceptional military record with the UEE Navy and had gone onto success in the private sector after resigning his commission. He has been using his sizable personal assets to rebuild the SFE, investing in new ships and recruiting only the most exceptional employees. Additionally, as a self-proclaimed “speed freak,” he is sponsoring the SumaFitz racing team to compete in events such as the Murray Cup. The company is also delving into more philanthropic activities to regain public trust and set the company on the right path going forward.
