Charter

ORIGINAL UNSC CHARTER
Dated: September 1st, 2525
By order of UNSC High Command, the founding and creation of SIGMA squad is hereby approved. SIGMA is tasked with elimination of key Insurrectionist and Covenant assets, reclamation of rare technology, and the use of force to be applied as necessary. Sigma 1, aka Sarge, and his squad, are hereby granted the rank of Specialist, removing them from the chain of command and answering only to those ranked Rear Admiral or Brigadier General and above. This does not grant them the ability to command assets outside of their direct command structure, except by express permission by above mentioned authorities.

UPDATED CHARTER
Dated: March 3rd, 2553
By order of UNSC High Command, the individuals under the name SIGMA squad are hereby removed from the command of the UNSC Navy under favorable circumstances. Due to an outstanding service record and merits both during the Insurrection and Covenant Wars, they are granted the permissions of Private Military Contractors (PMC) and are able to be tasked with assignments up to and including Top Secret.

UPDATED CHARTER
Dated: January 1st, 2575
Due to the founding of the UEE in 2546 and the official disbanding of the UNSC in 2570, this document reinstates the UNSC Charter for SIGMA Company from March 3rd, 2553. The previous charter is honored in full by the UEE, effective immediately.

Previous Charters involving the PMC group SIGMA Company are hereby archived and null. SIGMA Company is to be regarded as a licensed PMC group, with primary function of Asset Protection and Bounty Hunting. They no longer have any additional permissions or ties to military companies.
