Forged in the void and carried through twenty years in shadow, Shadow Legion now operates in Star Citizen. We are pilots, traders, escorts, industrialists and combat crews united by loyalty, banter, discipline and the will to endure beyond the edge of civilisation.
Long before Shadow Legion entered Stanton, its doctrine was written in another void.
Forged in EVE Online, the Legion began as a stealth-orientated black-ops unit built around self-sufficiency, patience, and pressure. We did not exist to hold the line. We existed to move beyond it.
Our earliest standard carried the crescent and the blade: the shadow and the strike. It represented the way we operated — unseen where possible, decisive where necessary, and always positioned to create openings for others to exploit.
The Legion specialised in operating behind enemy lines, harassing defensive positions, disrupting movement, and weakening targets before larger allied or client forces committed. We were skirmishers, scouts, raiders, opportunists, and survivors. We learned that discipline mattered, preparation saved crews, and persistence often beat raw numbers.
Over the years, games changed, systems changed, and fleets changed. Members came and went. But the standard remained.
Now Shadow Legion has carried that doctrine into Star Citizen.
In Stanton and beyond, we operate in lawless space where risk and reward sit close together. Our focus is profit, opportunity, and controlled aggression. We are pilots, escorts, scouts, industrialists, haulers, salvagers, combat crews, and problem-solvers who understand that money is made by those willing to move where others hesitate.
We are not a parade-ground organisation. We are not a joyless military simulation. We are a focused, active, semi-competitive crew with a busy Discord, a strong culture of banter, and a clear expectation that members learn, improve, and contribute.
Shadow Legion endures because it is more than a game tag. It is a standard carried across years, crews, and frontiers.
The ships change. The systems change. The standard remains.
Twenty years in shadow. Still operating.
We believe the void rewards those who prepare.
Shadow Legion exists for players who want more than a casual callsign. We are here to build a focused, capable, and active Star Citizen organisation that can operate in dangerous space, create profit, and enjoy the chaos together.
We believe teamwork matters. No pilot stands alone. The scout, escort, hauler, gunner, miner, medic, salvager, industrialist, and combat pilot all contribute to the outcome. A Legion is not a crowd. It is a crew acting with purpose.
We believe learning matters. Mistakes will happen. Bad calls, failed fights, poor landings, questionable routes, and expensive lessons are part of the game. What matters is that we adapt, improve, and come back sharper.
We believe optimisation matters. Better ships, better loadouts, better comms, better routes, better planning, and better habits create better outcomes. We are semi-competitive because improvement is part of the fun.
We believe profit follows discipline. Combat is not always the objective; sometimes it is the tool that creates the objective. We fight to open space, secure opportunity, protect assets, disrupt threats, and enhance profit.
We believe banter builds crews, but malice destroys them. Shadow Legion enjoys sarcasm, tactical salt, mockery, and the kind of friendly abuse that gaming communities are built on. But we reject malice in all forms. Harassment, bullying, humiliation, bigotry, and targeted cruelty have no place under the standard.
We believe loyalty creates trust. Discipline creates reliability. Humour kills stress. Endurance beats all.
We are serious about the community, not precious about ourselves.
We move quietly, strike decisively, learn constantly, and endure together.
1. The standard comes first
Members of Shadow Legion represent the organisation, the crew, and the standard. Act in a way that strengthens the community rather than damages it.
2. Banter is welcome. Malice is not.
Friendly abuse, sarcasm, tactical salt, and mockery between willing participants are part of the culture. Malice is not. Do not harass, bully, intimidate, humiliate, discriminate, threaten, or repeatedly target people. If someone clearly tells you to stop, stop.
3. Operate with purpose
Shadow Legion is built around stealth, skirmishing, self-sufficiency, and profit-driven opportunity. Members should aim to contribute to operations, learn the game, and help the organisation become more capable.
4. Teamwork beats ego
No role is worthless. Combat pilots, scouts, haulers, industrialists, medics, salvagers, engineers, traders, and support crews all matter. Respect the work that allows the Legion to function.
5. Discipline during operations
When an operation, event, fleet, or coordinated activity is running, comms discipline matters. Banter is part of the community, but during active coordination, follow the lead, keep comms usable, and do not derail the operation.
6. Learn, adapt, optimise
Mistakes are expected. Refusing to learn from them is not. Members should be willing to improve their ships, skills, tactics, communication, and understanding of the game.
7. Profit through reliability
Lawless space rewards preparation and punishes carelessness. Members should aim to be reliable, self-sufficient where possible, and mindful of the risks they create for the crew.
8. Protect the crew
Do not grief, exploit, scam, harass, or deliberately undermine fellow members. Internal trust is more valuable than any single payout.
9. No illegality or prohibited conduct
Do not use Shadow Legion spaces to plan, promote, request, or distribute illegal activity, illegal content, doxxing, threats, account theft, hacking, stolen data, or anything that exposes members or the server to legal or platform risk.
10. Respect privacy
Do not share private messages, personal information, screenshots, recordings, real names, locations, workplaces, or identifying details without consent.
11. Officers lead during operations
During organised activity, officers, event leads, and operation leads have authority to direct the group. Disagreements can be raised afterwards through the appropriate route.
12. Endure
Shadow Legion is built for persistence. We will lose ships, fights, cargo, routes, contracts, and occasionally our patience. We regroup, learn, laugh, and go again.
