Spartakus Intergalactic Corporation / SINCO

Gegründet wurde die Organisation im Jahr 1998 als Spartakus Bund im Rheinland (Planet Erde, Sol System). In seiner Gründungszeit verstand sich der Bund als Wissenschaftsvereinigung, die sich im Wesentlichen mit sozio-ökonomischen Verhältnissen beschäftigte. Schwerpunkt war dabei eine Untersuchung (und möglichst fundierte Kritik) von globalisierten Produktion- und Warenkreisläufen, die Auswirkungen auf komunale Strukturen und sich dadurch verändernden Systeme und ihrer Bewertung.

Allerdings hatten sich bereits Anfang des 21. Jahrhunderts die Aktivitäten des Bundes in Richtung einer eher pragmatischen Ausrichtung entwickelt. Einerseits verbreiterten sich die wissenschaftlichen Themenbereiche und wurden ergänzt durch Computertechnik, Robotik, Biologie und Physik. Andererseits folgten die Aktivitäten der Mitglieder des Bundes dem Diktat einer komerzielleren Ausrichtung, um notwendige Geldmittel für Lebensunterhaltungskosten zu beschaffen.

Während auf den Treffen, die nicht mehr regelmäßig stattfanden, im Wesentlichen nach wie vor über Theorieansätze, wissenschaftliche Errungenschaften und ihre Folgen diskutiert wurde, sah die alltägliche Arbeit anders aus: Last- und Warentransporte, Sicherheitsaufgaben im Bereich Objekt- und Personenschutz, Softwareprogrammierung, Operatortätigkeiten in Rechenzentren und kommerzielle Forschung im legalen Bereich aber auch Schmuggel, Schieberaufgaben, Sabotage, Nötigung und Fälschungen im illegalen Sektor unterschieden sich doch deutlich von der anfänglich eher theoretischen Ausrichtung des Spartakus Bundes. Etwa 2005 wurde die Struktur dementsprechend in eine Corporation umgewandelt. Die Mitglieder der SC erhielten dabei Orderpapiere, deren Weitergabe zusätzlich durch entsprechende Passagen in der Satzung geregelt wurde.

Die Haltung der Spartakus Cooperation (SC) war in der Folgezeit zu vielen Themen ambivalent. Einerseits lehnte man die Lösung von Konflikten durch militärische Auseinandersetzungen ab, andererseits verdiente die SC in solchen Zeiten recht gut, da man sich in solchen Konflikten meist keiner Seite verschrieb und die Vielseitigkeit der SC in solchen Zeiten sehr nützlich (und lukrativ) war. Auch war die SC nie groß genug, um irgendwelche Begehrlichkeiten in Richtung Übernahme zu wecken.

Das Intergalactic wurde frühen 23. Jahrhundert hinzugefügt, als sich die Aktivitäten der Spartakus Corporation endgültig nicht mehr alleine auf das Sol-System beschränkten. Nach anfänglichen Debatten, ob “Intergalactic” nicht lieber “Interstellar” heißen sollte, da auf absehbare Zeit keine intergalaktischen Reisen möglich sein würde, setzte sich schlußendlich “Intergalactic” durch, da man optimistisch in die Zukunft blicken würde und, wie ein Mitglied des Ausichtsrats bei der entscheidenden SItzung betonte, habe man “keine Lust, sich alle paar Jahrzehnte oder meinethalben Jahrhunderte Gedanken über einen neuen Namen zu machen”. Das Unternehmen firmierte fortan unter dem Namen Spartakus Intergalactic Corporation (SInCo).

The organization was founded in 1998 as Spartakus Bund in the Rhineland (Planet Earth, Sol System). In its founding period, the Confederation saw itself as a scientific association that was essentially concerned with socio-economic conditions. The focus was on an investigation (and as well-founded critique as possible) of globalized production and production cycles, the effects on comunal structures and thus changing systems and their evaluation.

However, the activities of the Confederation had already developed towards a rather pragmatic orientation at the beginning of the 21st century. On the one hand, the scientific topics broadened and were complemented by computer technology, robotics, biology and physics. On the other hand, the activities of the members of the Confederation followed the dictates of a more commercial orientation in order to raise the necessary funds for living expenses.

While the meetings, which no longer took place on a regular basis, continued to discuss theories, scientific achievements and their consequences, the everyday work was different: load and goods transport, security tasks in the area of object and personal protection, software programming, operating activities in computer centres and commercial research in the legal area, but also smuggling, pusher tasks, sabotage, coercion and counterfeiting. That differed clearly from the initially rather theoretical orientation of the Spartakus Bund. Around 2005, the structure was accordingly converted into a corporation. The members of the SC received order papers, the passing on of which was additionally regulated by corresponding passages in the articles of association.

The attitude of the Spartacus Cooperation (SC) was ambivalent on many topics in the following years. On the one hand, they refused to resolve conflicts through military clashes, on the other hand, the SC earned quite a lot of money in such times, because in such conflicts they were mostly not committed to any side and the SC’s versatility was very useful (and lucrative) in such times. Also, the SC has never been large enough to arouse any desire for take-over.

The “Intergalactic” was added in the early 23rd century, when the activities of the Spartakus Corporation were no longer limited to the Sol system alone. After initial debates on whether “Intergalactic” should not be called “Interstellar”, since intergalactic travel would not be possible in the foreseeable future, “Intergalactic” finally became established, as one member of the Supervisory Board emphasized in the decisive meeting that “there is no desire to think about the company name every few decades or maybe centuries”. The company was renamed Spartacus Intergalactic Corporation (SInCo).
