We provide industrious players with a venue through which they can hone their skills as miners, medics, space truckers, or scrappers; we want to provide a place where players with experience and wealth now at their disposal can profit, and pay it forward.
Silver Lining Industrial Networking Group was originally conceived and created in late 2952 in the Stanton system. History will show that this region, during those years, was rife with profitable opportunities, but also treacherous and risky for the vast majority of freelancer pilots, most of whom would put the majority of what they own at risk each time they make a trade run, just in the interest to make enough for a ship upgrade and a burrito.
With piracy on the rise, and so many new pilots without the resources to confidently make an honest credit, or the know-how to do so safely, the Industrial Networking Group was thought up as a counter to the dangers and injustices of a wild untamed ‘verse. By working together, building connections, lifting each other up, and remaining vigilant, and patient, we can provide the missing safety net for the honest, good-natured laborers of the ‘verse, and ensure that the people remain in control of their destinies.
With membership entirely optional, and confidential, the Silver Lining Industrial Networking Group is just getting off the ground in terms of swelling its ranks, but has already helped dozens of prospective medics, chauffeurs, miners, and long-quantum haulers get the leg up they need to find the black in their finances, and expand their influence. S.L.I.N.G. can lay claim to millions in terms of safe profits earned safely, fairly, and by making the ‘verse a better place.

The Charter of the Silver Lining Industrial Group:
This document contains the principles and policies by which all members shall operate, and will form a binding expectation of conduct upon joining the Silver Lining Industrial Networking Group or S.L.I.N.G., which for brevity, may be referred to throughout this charter as “the Group,” SLING, “the Network,” SLI, or “Silver Lining Industries.”
The Group is at its essence a community designed to help civilian Star Citizens to compete with the more aggressive, or in some cases directly hostile, sections of the player base of Star Citizen. It is with this in mind that we begin by laying out the base assumptions of the Group:
1. The verse is full of inequality, and disparate conditions for various players. Some folks will own only their starter ships, others will have a few ships in their fleet, and still others might have a proper fleet—half a dozen or more craft available when they look at a vehicle manager screen; some people will even have one of each ship available in their vast collection! Furthermore, the ultra-capitalist state of the ‘verse—and the Stanton star system in particular—are founded almost exclusively on exploitation. To properly discuss the role of fleet ownership in the dynamics of exploitation continued by the major players of the verse upon other pilots and fleet owners, it is valuable to define terms: [a] For the purposes of this charter, folks in possession of a basic starter ship shall be defined as “Workers.” [b] For the purposes of this charter, folks in possession of 1 – 3 ships, exceeding the utility of a basic starter class through ownership of a fleet or premium ship totaling less than 8 Million aUEC in value shall be defined as “Owners.” © For the purposes of this charter, folks in possession of a premium ship or fleet of ships exceeding 8 million aUEC in value shall be defined as “Whales.” [d] For the purposes of this charter, folks in possession of a premium ship or fleet of ships exceeding 20 million aUEC in value shall be defined as “Mega Whales.” They shall be considered as a sub-group of the Whales in the verse.
2. The verse is a dangerous and brutal place, and without proper preparation, and/or a supportive community, it can be quite arduous to find your way, and see more of the wonders the verse has to offer. In fact, without the assistance of a whale, most citizens will never see more than a handful of ships from the inside, let alone fly them around. Many workers or owners, will spend most of their play time stuck in their owned starter ships, or the limited rentals available.
