History

Originally founded by members of the Rohirrim PMC, Slipstream was an outlet for pilots with the figurative lead foot. Groups of pilots would often run pickup races while off-duty, and it eventually drew the attention of some officers, who decided it would be a good distraction for the men. Now an official race team, Slipstream has the resources and backing of the Rohirrim, and is still primarily an in-house race team for them, although outsiders are able to try out for the race team as long as they adhere to the established code of conduct. Slipstream has fielded numerous competitors for the Murray Cup racing league, but they only take part in non-combat races. This helps keep the pilots in fighting shape for their primary duty, the PMC. This also prevents any hard feelings against the Rohirrim when their pilots would inevitably wipe out the competition.

Manifesto

SLIPSTREAM was founded as a place for speed junkies and enthusiasts alike to come together and experience their craft like never before! Interested in racing, training to race, or leading/training a race team? Want to support our racers with logistics (ship and racer transport, refueling, parts stocking and repairs?) Have a knack for modifying ships (engines, cooling systems, thrusters, and aerodynamics?) Just love racing and want a group of individuals to share your passion?
SLIPSTREAM is the home you’ve been looking for.

While we encourage applicants to come ready-to-race (experience on the track, and a racing ship) we will work with anyone interested to find them a place on our team. We will assist members in finding the right ship for them, and to the best of our ability getting them a good deal on making that purchase. We will assist with, to the best of our ability, any fuel costs incurred during our training exercises, and provide any new tech developed in-house at no cost to our members.

*Note: we are an affiliate of Rohirrim. No pilots with negative standing will be accepted to this team.

Charter

We are an above-board racing organization. We welcome members to expand their knowledge and resources by becoming an affiliate of other organizations not in negative standing to Rohirrim, but we do not tolerate any blow-back on our team for the actions of an individual. We expect mature behavior; griefing, bullying, and spamming will not be tolerated.

We are a sublet of Rohirrim, and all members will be required to abide by the general code of conduct set forth by the leaders.
