SOHO

Soho is a disciplined, quality-first organization operating across bounty hunting, exploration, and high-risk contracts. We value performance, trust, and clean execution over numbers. Built for capable operators who show up and deliver.

History

Founding and Early History (2946-2947)

Soho was founded in 2946 by Van Hawking, a decorated pilot and veteran of a fierce privateer planetary war on Ferron III. After witnessing the devastation and chaos of the war, Hawking sought a new path that combined his passion for space exploration with the skills he had honed during the conflict. Armed with his trusty Aegis Dynamics Super Hornet, he established Soho with a vision to explore the universe and create a community where members supported each other through various endeavors.

Establishment and Initial Growth (2948-2952)

From 2948 to 2952, Soho began to grow organically. Initially, the organization attracted individuals who were similarly disillusioned with their past lives and eager for new adventures. They united under Hawking’s leadership, taking on a variety of missions ranging from bounty hunting to mercenary contracts. These early missions provided the necessary funds to expand their fleet and improve their capabilities.

Key achievements during this period included:

2949: Completion of high-value bounty hunting missions in the Stanton system, which bolstered the organization’s finances and reputation.
2950: Successful mercenary operations protecting trade convoys from pirate raids, earning the trust and business of several major corporations.
2951: Recruitment of specialized talent including engineers, medics, and reconnaissance experts, which diversified Soho’s operational scope.

Expansion and Fleet Growth (2953-2958)

By 2953, Soho had grown significantly, allowing them to invest in more advanced ships and technology. The acquisition of an Anvil Carrack in 2954 marked a major milestone, enabling deeper exploration missions and larger-scale operations. Following this, the organization secured an Aegis Dynamics Idris frigate in 2956, further enhancing their combat and logistical capabilities.

Notable milestones during this period included:

2954: Establishment of Soho Base in the Nyx system, which became the central hub for their operations and a sanctuary for members.
2955: High-profile rescue missions in the Pyro system, where Soho provided crucial aid to stranded civilians and traders, earning widespread acclaim.
2957: Participation in coordinated efforts against major pirate factions in Stanton and Terra systems, solidifying alliances with other reputable organizations and strengthening their standing in the galaxy.

Present Day (2959-)

Today, Soho stands as a formidable and respected entity in the universe. Under Van Hawking’s leadership, Soho operates with a powerful fleet, including their flagship Carrack and the imposing Idris frigate. The organization has evolved to balance mercenary work, bounty hunting, and deep-space exploration, all while maintaining a strong sense of community and mutual support among its members.

Soho’s operations are guided by a set of principles that prioritize justice, integrity, and the well-being of the galaxy. Their mission is to take on tasks that align with these values, whether that means hunting down dangerous criminals, securing volatile regions, or conducting humanitarian missions.

As Soho looks to the future, it remains dedicated to its founding ideals of exploration, growth, and community support. With Van Hawking at the helm, Soho continues to navigate the stars, ready to face new challenges, uncover new mysteries, and aid the universe in ways they deem right.

Manifesto

Founded in 2946 in the aftermath of frontier conflict, Soho was built with a clear purpose: structure creates strength.

What began as a small unit forged through hard experience has grown into a disciplined organization operating across exploration, combat, and strategic contracts. Our foundation is not built on numbers, noise, or reputation — it is built on consistency, capability, and trust.

We believe that effective operations require leadership, defined roles, and members who take ownership of their responsibilities. Clean communication and controlled execution are not optional; they are expected.

Soho does not pursue unnecessary conflict, nor do we seek chaos for its own sake. We operate deliberately. We respond decisively. When challenged, we handle it with precision and discipline.

Membership is selective by design. Rank is not granted for time served or volume of activity. It is earned through contribution, reliability, and performance under pressure.

We are not interested in becoming the largest organization in the system. We are committed to building a capable, tight-knit crew that can operate effectively in any environment — from long-range exploration to high-risk engagements.

Every member represents the reputation of the whole.

Structure.
Trust.
Execution.

Not every operator walks the same path. Within Soho, higher standards open quieter doors.

That is Soho.
