A record of Skylight PMC from founding to present operations.
Skylight PMC was established by a small unit of ex-UEE military veterans who had grown disillusioned watching well-funded security outfits fail their clients — not through lack of hardware, but lack of standards.
The founding operators pooled their resources, registered under the Mercenary Guild Charter, and took their first contract in Stanton’s shipping corridors within the month. Two ships. Six operators. A reputation to build.
Word of Skylight’s reliability reached the mining and freight community faster than expected. A recurring pattern emerged: resource operations were being abandoned mid-contract by security providers the moment conditions turned hostile.
Skylight stepped in. The industrial division was formalised with dedicated escort and site-security protocols for mining claims, cargo convoys, and salvage operations — filling a gap that larger PMCs considered beneath their margin.
The push into Pyro was not a calculated business decision. A freight client operating in the Pyro system reached out after losing two ships and their security detail to an ambush near Monox. Skylight took the contract at cost.
The operation was a success. The Pyro expansion became permanent — not because the margins justified it, but because the founders believed that the willingness to operate where others won’t is precisely what separates a professional military contractor from a mercenary.
Following multiple rescue callouts during Pyro operations, Skylight formalised a dedicated SAR capability. The Cutlass Red programme was stood up with trained medical operators and rapid-response protocols.
Non-combat rescue missions across contested systems became a core offering — and a quiet proving ground. The operators who volunteered for SAR rotations consistently became the most dependable in the outfit.
Skylight PMC operates across all accessible systems under a unified command structure. Combat, industrial, SAR, escort, and patrol divisions function as a single force rather than competing arms.
“The founding standard — accountability, precision, and delivery under pressure — remains the sole criterion for advancement.”
Headcount is secondary to capability. It always has been.

Precision. Discipline. Results.
Licensed contractor operating under the Mercenary Guild Charter.
We are not pirates. We are not opportunists. We are professionals.
Founded in 2950 by veterans of UEE military and private security engagements, Skylight was built on a single observation: the verse had no shortage of guns for hire. What it lacked was accountability.
Better-equipped forces were failing their clients — not through lack of firepower, but lack of standards. The founding operators believed the market was not asking for more contractors. It was asking for better ones.
The early years were lean. A handful of operators, two ships, and the contracts larger outfits considered beneath them. We delivered, consistently, where others refused or failed. Word moved through the right channels. By 2951 the industrial division was active. By 2952 we were running security and SAR contracts in Pyro — not because the margins justified it, but because the work demanded it.
COMBAT DIVISION
Facility assaults, fleet escort, defensive operations, and space security across contested and hostile systems. Ground and space capabilities under a unified command structure.
INDUSTRIAL DIVISION
Secured mining operations, protected cargo convoys, and wreck salvage. We keep the yield safe and the operation moving.
SAR CAPABILITY
Dedicated search-and-rescue support across both divisions. Our operators go in when others won’t.
Skylight does not take contracts it cannot fulfil. It does not recruit operators it cannot trust. It does not compromise the standard to grow faster.
“Headcount is secondary to capability. It always has been.” — Skylight PMC founding charter, 2950
