Manifesto

The SpyNet agenda

SpyNet is an Australian based organisation with a focus on intelligence.
Though based in Australia, we accept people from all nationalities (so long as you speak English).
Our power comes not from brute force, but from being two steps ahead of all opposition.
Infiltration, scouting, deceit and advanced planning are some of the common practices you’ll see here.

Sometimes however, combat is unavoidable.
Combat training will be granted to all members, both on the ground and in the expanse of space.
Only those who demonstrate combat prowess will be eligible for combat roles.
There is however the possibility of conscription, in which case all members are able to operate.

Ranking up at SpyNet

At SpyNet, we issue ranks in the form of achievements.
For each achievement completed, an agent will receive a medal of certification.
In order to receive medals, you must first obtain the preliminary medal.
There are 4 additional medals that you can obtain which can be acquired in any order.
In addition, agents will receive credentials in the form of cards.
For each medal acquired, the card colour will change.
The colour of the card you own will represent what kind of clearance and privileges you have.

The medals, and how to acquire them are listed below:

Preliminary (purple) medal(s).
  • Complete a spoken interview using a VoIP service.
Intelligence (blue) medal(s).
  • Demonstrate surveillance ability (infiltration).
  • Demonstrate reconnaissance ability (scouting).
Combat (red) medal(s).
  • Demonstrate soldiering ability (armed combat).
  • Demonstrate aviation ability (dogfighting).

The listed requirements are intended to be vague, as there are too many factors to account for.
Sometimes lots of small contributions don’t amount to several large ones.

Members can also be granted roles amongst the organisation.

The roles and how to be granted them are listed below:

Role model (Recruitment): Manage applicants.
  • Own a black card, and be renowned within SpyNet.
Decoder (Officer): Manage members, ranks and roles.
  • Own a black card, and complete the cipher trail.
Imaginative (Marketing): Manage branding.
  • Own a black card, and contribute to text/graphic design.
Omniscient (Founder): Global access.
  • A combination of all three.

Blacklist

Charter

The SpyNet code

Being an agent of espionage requires you to follow few, but very strict rules, with very real consequences.
The code isn’t in place just for SpyNet, but for the sake of your identity and your standing with other organisations.
If you face the consequences of defying the code, you could be worse off than if you had never joined, so act wisely.

The SpyNet code is listed below:

  • An agent works primarily for the benefit and progression of SpyNet.***
  • Information entrusted to you is for no other than yourself.***
  • Associating with a blacklisted member will be seen as an act of treason.****
  • You’re not to reveal the identity of other agents of SpyNet.***
  • You’re not to reveal yourself as an agent of SpyNet.**
  • Members must be listed as redacted members or hidden affiliates.**
  • By order of duty, you’re not to withhold information from SpyNet.**
  • In certain situations (e.g. combat situations, objective briefing) the chatter must remain clear.*
  • Keep it professional, treat your colleagues with respect.*
  • In the end this is just a game, so treat it like one. Don’t be a sorehead.*

*: * Continuous offences will result in exclusion.
*: ** Will result in immediate exclusion.
*: *** Will result in immediate exclusion and blacklisting.

Exclusions and Blacklisting

An exclusion/warning will be issued immediately upon breaking the code.
Exclusions have no chance at appeal, and any chance at redemption will be ignored.
Following an exclusion, you will also be denied re-entry to SpyNet.
In some cases, excluded individuals will also be met with a blacklisting.
Blacklisted individuals will have a negative standing with SpyNet, and will possibly be met with hostilities.
It is your responsibility to be familiar with the blacklist.
The blacklist will be available in the manifesto.
