History

The Watchers in The Sky & Searchlight

The history of The Watchers starts outside the verse we call home now. In distant lands the crew of our capital ship The Searchlight were sent on a rescue mission to a local world. The workers of the planet had advanced toward the edge of the universe far faster than the rest of the system. Though, their technology was experimental and failing violently. In one last ditch effort to save their world- they called upon The Watchers in The Sky. Upon sending The Searchlight as well as a small contingency of smaller craft, we realized the atmosphere around the planet was changing – failing for lack of a better term. The storm building above their capital city blocked all visual as well as our communications to their ATC but that was only cause for Searchlight to speed up- into the storm, determined to help in any way we could. As our ship passed through the storm, we lost power completely, our lifeless ship was tossed around in the storm as if it were dust. The Searchlight was completely dark, unseeing, lost.

By the time the power came back, the clouds were nowhere to be seen- as was the planet. The Captain studied our new navigational charts and plotted a course for a planet called Microtech. This planet stands as our new home base and staging ground for The Searchlight. We are lost but we are devoted to making sure others find their way.

The Watchers In The Sky – Public Charter

The Archivist has established this Charter as a declaration of our presence in the verse as well as our code of conduct and how every Watcher will conduct themselves under The Searchlight. It is our goal and responsibility to the citizens of the verse to provide help and support in any way we are called on to do so. The Watchers In The Sky exist to secure our verse from threats to peace and freedom within the galaxy, as well as secure any and all information relating to the systems in which we reside.

1. Mission Statement

The mission of The Watchers In The Sky is to be a light for those lost across our galaxy. We respond to every request from distress beacons to taxi requests with the same reverence, knowing we all once needed a hand or a guiding light in the darkness.

2. Goals
To aid citizens in need.
To maintain safety, peace and freedom within our verse.
To provide stable employment and advancement, for all members of the organization.

1. Personal Conduct

SRCHLIGHT enforces internal discipline. Corruption, exploitation, and misconduct are prohibited. Not only to each other within the organization, but to every citizen in the verse.

2. Disciplinary Guides

SRCHLIGHT operates on the ideals of balance, trust and communication above all. -All Watchers must retain an air of understanding -All Watchers will act as a guide for whoever may need them -All Watchers will protect whoever they can from the worst the galaxy has to offer

1. Internal Grievances

Concerns may be raised through SRCHLIGHT’s internal leadership and will be addressed through a leadership communal review.

2. External Disputes

Conflicts involving external sources shall be resolved through negotiation, arbitration, or sanctioned show of force in accordance with SRCHLIGHT policy.

1. Amendment Process

This Charter may be amended by a majority communal vote, followed by leadership approval. All amendments must align with The Watrcher’s mission and ideals.

This Charter defines The Watchers In The Sky as the bastion of peace, freedom, unity and understanding throughout the verse. Through community support operations as well as organization wide growth,The Watchers In The Sky will provide prosperity throughout the verse acting as the archivists of information and guidance through the darkness.
