History

Founded in 2894, StarTech Industries began as a small engineering consultancy on microTech, created by a group of systems engineers who believed the UEE’s industrial sector had grown stagnant. Their mission was simple: build smarter, safer, more efficient technology for the rapidly expanding frontier.

During its early years, StarTech specialized in systems diagnostics, power-grid tuning, and component optimization for civilian and corporate fleets. Their breakthrough came in 2899, when the company introduced a proprietary multi-phase calibration algorithm that drastically improved the stability of industrial machinery used in mining outposts. The innovation spread quickly across Stanton, earning StarTech its first major corporate contracts.

By 2907, StarTech expanded into resource-extraction engineering, designing precision-grade systems for mining, refinery, and salvage operations. Unlike traditional industrial giants, StarTech focused on creating modular, AI-assisted engineering tools that allowed small crews to achieve megacorp-level efficiency. This approach reshaped the competitive landscape and attracted the attention of frontier colonists, independent organizations, and even UEE-aligned contractors.

Through the 2910s and 2920s, StarTech established a reputation for clean, reliable, and highly engineered solutions, partnering with a wide range of industries—from deep-space survey teams to large-scale refinery hubs. With each expansion came new divisions dedicated to advanced systems design, structural diagnostics, industrial ship support, and automated salvage optimization.

In 2933, StarTech Industries formalized its corporate identity and opened its flagship engineering campus in the Stanton system. The facility became a central hub for R&D, component testing, and fleet-level engineering operations. It also marked the official launch of the company’s Resource Operations Division, enabling StarTech to provide not only the technology behind extraction, but also the extraction services themselves.
