Created from the ashes of an old dream, this group aims to strike hard and strike fast before any harm befalls the citizens of the ‘verse, be they human or alien.

History

Inception

Originally known as Trailblazer Group, named after co-founder Lucas “Trailblazer” Asterix, Starbreaker Squadron began as a group of friends within NOVA Intergalactic, wanting to schedule operations and events at times better-suited for working-class Citizens IRL in the States. Later on, the group chose to leave NOVA around mid-May 2956 for personal reasons and began to chase their own individual pursuits. After taking some time to work things out, the Starbreaker Squadron has begun new efforts to recruit and focus on Mercenary Contracts in addition to Priority Contracts, given the recent return of Xenothreat to the Stanton System.

Manifesto

Modus Operandi of Starbreaker Squadron

  • The Starbreaker Squadron operates on the line of Neutrality, though we do mostly lean Neutral Good and will prioritize the betterment of UEE, CFP, and People’s Alliance establishments, outposts, cities, and planets. By this extension, we aim to share our goodwill to other mercenaries and Citizens in the ‘Verse where desired and/or needed.
  • We are given the freedom to pick up any contract that will make us decent money that will let us live the lives we want to out in the ‘Verse, including those that PVP Contracts issued by the Northrock Service Group that permit us to go after targets designated with a Crime Stat (CS) Level 3 or higher. By this extension, we do not engage with hostilities unless engaged by permitted and/or enabled by our Rules of Engagement (RoE). NOTE: violations of Starbreaker Squadron Rules of Engagement should be reported to Squadron leadership immediately, so that we may handle it swiftly and properly.
  • We are given the freedom to choose which organization we primarily roll with — the Starbreaker Squadron operates with the idea that the Squadron is an outlet where we can express our desire for combat and a semi-serious MilSim environment. By this extent, we do not want to force people to prioritize us, but we appreciate those who do engage with our organization and make it a place worth being in. Additionally, we respect and revere each of those organizations that others may hail from.
  • By extension of our reverence and respect for others, we draw the line with organizations that promote griefing and toxic gameplay styles, in addition to piracy on our members. Such examples are GrieferNet, Liberty Reapers, and Mongrel Squad. Any Starbreaker member found to be in league with the aforementioned organizations or organizations of similar reputation and behavior will be court-martialed immediately, and referred to any associated or primary organization for further action under their RoE and Manifesto.

Charter

I. PURPOSE & OBJECTIVE * The Starbreaker Squadron operates as a structured collective dedicated to operational efficiency, wealth generation, and fleet security across the ‘verse. We do not dictate the moral landscape of United Earth Empire space or the lawless fringes; we dictate only the stability and execution of our own contracts. Every action taken by the fleet serves to advance our collective standing, secure our assets, and guarantee mutual progress.

II. CODE OF CONDUCT
The Prime Mandate: Members shall operate in all official and un-official capacities with respect, kindness, and reverence for our sibling Stars, and those we choose to affiliate with and ally with.

  • All members are expected to operate under Cloud Imperium Games (CIG) and Star Citizen Codes of Conduct, as well as the Starbreaker Squadron Manifesto, along with the Discord Code of Conduct.
  • Members are to report any and all affiliations with other organizations, and keep them visible unless discussed with Command — there must be extremely good reasoning for hidden affiliations, as we check these to ensure Starbreaker Squadron will not fall prey to the activities of griefer and pirate organizations. Failure to provide such reasons may result in a written warning or expulsion from the Squadron.

III. CHAIN OF COMMAND
The Core Command: Leadership reserves absolute authority over organizational direction, financial distribution, event coordination, and fleet deployment.

  • Operational Ranks: Members must respect the designated hierarchy during active operations. Commands given by presiding officers (Comet Corporal and above) are to be executed without personal bias to ensure mission success.
  • Command Ranks: As is with Operational Ranks, Command Ranks are at the top of the chain, and work in coordination with the Celestial General to ensure the betterment and enjoyment of the Squadron as a whole. Members are asked to respect the Command structure both in socialization and during operations.
* NOTE: while we ask for respect of each other and leadership, we are not above being held accountable either. If members feel like there is someone in the chain of command that is not adhering to the rules, RoE, Charter, or Manifesto, please contact Starbreaker Command ASAP so we can best resolve this. Additionally, we are always looking for new ways to improve — suggestions on events, operational elements, and planning are welcome so we can strive to grow across the board.
  • Promotion and Progression: Advancement through the ranks is strictly merit-based, determined by operational reliability, contribution to the whole of the Squadron, and adherence to the Squadron’s Manifesto and Charter. Exceptions can be made in the event of operational emergency, or through special circumstances.

IV. ENGAGEMENT AND DISCIPLINE

  • Authorized Engagement: Force is authorized for asset defense, contractual enforcement, and retaliation against unprovoked aggression. Griefing or unsanctioned piracy that brings instability to the Squadron is prohibited.
  • Disciplinary Protocol: Failure to adhere to the Charter and Manifesto, rules set in other places such as the Organization website and Discord, demonstrated insubordination during fleet operations, or actions causing unnecessary organizational liability will result in immediate review, warning, demotion, or administrative removal from the register.
