History

In the year 2951, amidst the vast and ever-expanding Stanton system within the ‘verse, a motley group of individuals from diverse backgrounds found themselves drawn together by a shared longing for adventure and the pursuit of knowledge. Noburu, Eggumin, Arethas, Void, and Lynthias, each possessing unique talents and aspirations, became the founding members of what would later be known as the “Syndicate of Undaunted Seekers.”

Noburu, a charismatic diplomat with a passion for negotiation and persuasion, had a vision of forming a tight-knit group that could protect one another, acquire valuable resources, and promote the exploration of the unknown.

Eggumin, a former xeno-archaeologist with a love for unraveling ancient mysteries, had recently discovered tantalizing clues pointing to hidden alien artifacts scattered throughout the Stanton system. She was driven by a relentless curiosity to explore the cosmos.

Arethas, a renegade pilot known for evading the law, was renowned for daring ship modifications and incredible flying skills. His dream was to venture into the unknown, away from the clutches of the UEE, and embrace the thrill of charting uncharted territories.

Void, an enigmatic wanderer, possessed an uncanny knack for navigating the lawless regions of the Stanton system, fending off threats and uncovering unexplored anomalies. His purpose was to guide the crew safely through the darkest corners of space.

Lynthias, a brilliant tech-savvy hacker, had a fascination with data and hidden secrets. His desire was to decode the enigmatic transmissions and encrypted logs of derelict spacecraft that dotted the ‘verse, believing that knowledge was the greatest treasure of all.

Their paths converged when Eggumin, on the verge of unearthing an ancient artifact on microTech’s frigid moon Calliope, encountered Arethas, who swooped in to rescue her from an ambush by rivals. As the pair journeyed to safety, they stumbled upon Lynthias, who had been eavesdropping on local pirate communications.
Not long after, Void’s astute guidance prevented them from flying straight into a dangerous asteroid field, while Noburu brokered an alliance with local traders, securing their services for the search for unknown relics.
Their initial collaborations led to successful missions to recover lost technology, and they soon recognized that together they had the potential to achieve greater feats. Thus, in 2951, they formalized their alliance as the “Syndicate of Undaunted Seekers.”
Under the banner of their newly formed syndicate, they pledged to explore the cosmos, uncover its secrets, and defend one another from the perils of the ‘verse. As they ventured forth, the Syndicate of Undaunted Seekers became renowned throughout the galaxy for their audacity, resourcefulness, and their unwavering commitment to the pursuit of the unknown.

We at the Syndicate of Undaunted Seekers are looking for like minded individuals that are enthusiastic about exploring the unknown, someone who is inquisitive and curious and that isn’t afraid to go where no one else has gone before.

We are fearless, courageous and determined. We overcome obstacles and any adversity by using our wits and by trusting our instincts. We know we’ll persevere as long as we are resilient and determined.

The discreet movement of goods or items across interplanetary boundaries without official documentation, often involving creative solutions to trade challenges;

Engaging in unconventional space activities, such as trade of exploration, typically outside the bounds of traditional regulations and governance, often characterized by self-reliance and self-governance.

Charter

We at the Syndicate follow a creed composed by 10 tenets, they’re not hard to follow and as long as you understand and respect them, you’ll be respected by your peers.

Diplomacy is Sacred

Always respect the ancient code of parley, allowing for peaceful negotiations before resorting to hostilities;

Fair Division of Profits

Equitably distribute the gains from an operation among the crew to ensure a happy and motivated team. (Only applies to ops with more than one person);

Protect the Ship

Maintain your ship in prime condition. A well-maintained vessel ensures safe journeys and successful missions;

No Looting of the Needy

Never accept operations that involve taking from those who don’t have much, or anything at all. This is strictly forbidden as it goes against our code of ethics;

No Killing without a Cause

Avoid unnecessary violence. Seekers in the Syndicate have quarrels, but senseless slaughter is discouraged;

Crew Welfare First

Prioritize the well-being of your shipmates, ensuring their safety, health, and morale are paramount. We have each other’s backs in the Syndicate, and no one gets left behind;

Mentorship and Training

Support the growth of less experienced crew members by offering mentorship and training, passing on your knowledge and skills;

Resolve Internal Conflicts Amicably

Conflicts are inevitable, but resolve them through discussion and compromise, with a focus on maintaining harmony and unity. Boxing matches as conflict resolution are allowed;

Listen to All Voices

Encourage open communication within the crew, ensuring every Seeker has a voice in decisions that affect the ship and its crew;

No Mutiny without Just Cause

Mutiny is a serious matter; it should only be considered when there is a severe breach of trust or well-being among the crew. (Marooning the dissident should only be used as a last resort punishment.)
