Long before we were an organized armada, we were just scattered freelancers—pilots, mercs, haulers, scouts—each pushed to the fringes of the ‘verse by bigger powers, broken promises, or simply bad luck. What we shared wasn’t allegiance, but a quiet refusal to let the universe decide our fate for us.

The turning point came during the Harlow Split, a contract gone wrong in the outer edges of Stanton. A group of independent pilots found themselves stranded, double-crossed, and hunted by the very employer who hired them. Instead of scattering, they banded together, fought their way out, and swore never to let their livelihoods be severed by someone else’s greed again.

From that day forward, we became the Severed Star Armada—a symbol of self-determination, forged in betrayal and sealed by survival.
