History

In 2944, Synthetic Horizon was founded by Felic Dexton, and their group of altruistic explorers who sought to conduct peaceful operations throughout the galaxy. They were inspired by the speech of Admiral Bishop, who called for war against the Vanduul, but they believed that war was not the only solution. They decided to form an organization that would focus on exploration, trade, diplomacy, and humanitarian aid, rather than combat and violence. They chose the name Synthetic Horizon to reflect their vision of creating a new horizon for Humanity and other species.

In 2945, Synthetic Horizon established its headquarters on Crusader, a low-mass gas giant in the Stanton system that had an atmosphere which was breathable at high altitudes. They chose Crusader because it was home to Crusader Industries, a major ship manufacturer that shared their values and goals. They also wanted to show their support for the UEE’s efforts to revitalize the Stanton system, which had been neglected by its previous owners. Synthetic Horizon began to recruit members from various backgrounds and professions, such as bounty hunters, mercenaries, salvagers, miners, cargo traders, and more. They also forged alliances with other organizations that shared their values and goals.

In 2946, Synthetic Horizon expanded its operations to other systems and planets, such as ArcCorp, Hurston, Microtech, Terra, Magnus, Nyx, and more. They explored new regions of space, discovered new points of interest, traded with various factions and species, and helped those in need. They also encountered some challenges and dangers along the way, such as pirates, outlaws, Vanduul raiders, hostile aliens, environmental hazards, and more. They tried to avoid conflict as much as possible, but they were not afraid to defend themselves and their allies when necessary. They earned a reputation as a reliable and benevolent organization that could be trusted and respected.

In 2947, Synthetic Horizon faced a major crisis when one of their cargo ships was attacked by a rogue group of Vanduul raiders near the Elysium system. Synthetic Horizon was an easy prey for their blades. The attack resulted in the death of several org members and the loss of valuable cargo. Synthetic Horizon was shocked and outraged by this incident, and they tried to seek help from the UEE Navy to pursue and punish the Vanduul raiders. However, the UEE Navy refused to intervene or cooperate with them, citing lack of resources and jurisdiction.

In 2948, Synthetic Horizon supported the Human-Xi’an Trade Initiative (HuXa), a landmark agreement that opened up trade and travel between the two empires. They saw this as an opportunity to foster better relations and cooperation with the Xi’an and other alien races. They also hoped that this would reduce the risk of war and conflict in the galaxy. They used their contacts and connections to facilitate trade and diplomacy with the Xi’an, as well as to learn more about their culture and history. They also visited some of the Xi’an worlds and systems, such as Rihlah, Yā’mon, and Kyuk’ya. They were impressed by the Xi’an’s ancient and sophisticated civilization, as well as their respect for nature and harmony.

In 2949, Synthetic Horizon celebrated its fifth anniversary with a grand event on Crusader. They invited their members, allies, and friends to join them in a festive celebration that included speeches, awards, games, music, and fireworks. They also announced their plans for the future, which included expanding their fleet, exploring new systems, and supporting various causes and charities. They also expressed their gratitude to Crusader Industries for their partnership and support over the years.

In 2950, Synthetic Horizon participated in the Imperator election, endorsing and campaigning for Laylani Addison, a former scientist and advocate for synthetic intelligence. They believed that Addison was the best candidate to lead the UEE into a new era of innovation and cooperation. They also hoped that she would be able to improve the defense and security of the UEE against the Vanduul threat and other hostile groups. They used their influence and resources to spread Addison’s message and platform across the galaxy.

In 2951, Synthetic Horizon witnessed the historic victory of Laylani Addison as the new Imperator of the UEE. They congratulated her on her achievement and pledged their loyalty and support to her administration. They also hoped that her policies and initiatives would benefit the galaxy and its inhabitants. They also celebrated the launch of their first capital ship, the Parcel of Stardust, an Anvil Carrack Expedition that was customized and upgraded for Synthetic Horizon’s needs. The Parcel of Stardust became the flagship of Synthetic Horizon’s fleet and a symbol of their strength and ambition.

In 2952, Synthetic Horizon explored a new region of space through a wormhole near the Pyro system. They stumbled upon a massive and derelict alien ship that drifted in the void. The ship belonged to an unknown and extinct alien race that had left behind clues and mysteries. The ship also contained valuable and dangerous technology that could change the balance of power in the galaxy. Synthetic Horizon tried to investigate and salvage the ship, but they faced competition and opposition from other organizations and factions who wanted to claim the ship for themselves. Synthetic Horizon had to use their skills and resources to secure and study the ship, while avoiding or fighting off their rivals.
