Here at Talaria, we strive to offer the chance at community and kinship among our pilots. We work hard to ensure that the work done for the Organization enriches not just the Organization itself, but the pilots who put in the hard work as well. When a Miner returns goods he worked hard to recover, we don’t want those goods to simply disappear and toss him a few token payments to keep him quiet. We want him rewarded for his hard work. When a merchant sells off a cargo of precious minerals and returns with the profit, she isn’t simply tossed a few credits and given a half-hearted thanks. She can expect to see a good pay for the work she’s done. We understand that even the newest, greenest member is just as important as our most skilled veterans.

Our founding members here work as a group to get our jobs done. No more individual person raking in all of the money and calling all of the shots. We form together as a group and discuss on the politics and events of the organization, and we encourage the rest of our pilots to join in. We even offer the ability to earn rank among the founders and help us guide and shape the organization with feedback from our other pilots.

Talaria works for profit, but intends to split that profit among members fairly. We also treat our employees well, and make sure their voice is heard. Every member of Talaria is given a chance to vote on important matters. Every vote is the same, no one is given priority over the others, and no vote is given special consideration that the others don’t. We also allow, even encourage, questions, comments and complaints from every member. We want Talaria to work for it’s pilots just as the pilots work for it. We’re tired of big businesses stuffing their wallets and stepping on the little guys, aren’t you?

We also offer the ability to try out different jobs. Just because you’ve been given the role of Support doesn’t mean you don’t get to step into a Hornet and blast some pirates. Likewise, if you’ve had a long day of fighting, and want to relax and just spend some time mining or exploring, you can. Of course, your primary role remains your primary role, and in times of need, you might be asked to not change jobs (or maybe change jobs) to better suit the needs of the Organization. But we encourage adaptability in our members, and would love nothing more than a fleet of pilots who can, and will, do any job needed.

Our current list of jobs covers a wide variety of roles. As it stands, we offer:

and we hope the list can change and grow as members join up, voicing their opinions on what jobs we should add to the list. Please do note that Talaria aims to make the space lanes safe, and therefor has a strict NO PIRACY policy.

When all is said and done, Talaria aims to provide a safe, fun environment where our members can make friends, get help, and make a profit among the stars, all while making space a better place for the every-man. The rules for Talaria are simple, but are still under construction.

1. Members must be respectful of other members.
2. Members may vote on group affairs. Each vote is to be counted as a single vote when tallied.
3. Sexism or Racism of any kind will not be tolerated, and will result in immediate removal of the individual.
4. Likewise, false claims of sexism or racism will also not be tolerated.
5. Any and all disputes or conflicts between members are to be settled calmly and politely.
6. While flying for Talaria, piracy is not allowed in any way, shape or form.
