BlackFire Bastards / TBFB

[REDACTED], known hereafter only as [REDACTED], founded the BlackFire Bastards in 2946 following an abrupt termination of his services with the UEE Forces. As a freelance mercenary [REDACTED] had been flying with an advanced squadron in the Oberon System when a Vanduul fleet arrived to raid the system and they were ordered to engage. While Admiral Bishop ordered the newly built UEES Retribution into the system and claimed the first offensive victory for the UEE against the Vanduul, [REDACTED] and his men suffered some of the heaviest losses as they bought Bishop and the people of Uriel (Oberon II) time to mount a defense.

Adding further insult, the UEE later denied the use of paid mercenaries after the conclusion of Operation Mandrake entirely.

The Black Fire Bastards began with the survivors of [REDACTED]‘s squad acting as a small crew running cargo, providing security, and smuggling. Always with a willingness to engage overzealous UEE security forces, they earned more dangerous work and grew into a unique outfit of pirates, bounty hunters, revolutionaries, and mercenaries.

Now operating in the under-policed Stanton system until better opportunities present themselves.
