Founded on the principles of honesty, idealism, and where you can stuff them both, “ thank you Douglas Adams”, the Teumessia Corporation began as a simple corporation dedicated to exploration of uncharted systems and exploitation of those same systems.
The Teumessia Corporation, named for the Teumessian Fox of Greek legend, was founded on March 7, 2940 by Chairmen Anguis X. Originally only a exploration corporation, Teumessia made a name for itself as a mining and shipping organization, with a reputation for maintaining profit margins whatever the cost.
Veni, Vidi, Quaestui “I came, I saw, I exploited”
The Teumessia Corporation is not a political entity, nor does it have interest in military dominance. Instead, it has loftier aspirations; to explore the unknown… and exploit whatever it finds. Whether it is cutting down trees and killing giant blue rabbit people for a few scraps of Unobtainium, or strip mining a planet hollow for a few balls of dark matter, the Teumessia Corporation represents the noblest aspirations of capitalist pursuit without restraint or scruples. To all members of the Teumessia Corporation,
The following rules are to be adhered to on penalty of dismissal from the Corporation and forfeiture of all rights, privileges, and resources that are thereby gained.
Interpersonal Conduct and Policy
1. All members are to treat each other with respect and dignity. Any excessive profanity, flaming, or intentional trolling will be dealt with severely.
2. All resources found and claimed by any member of the Corporation are first and foremost property of the Corporation, to be used to the advancement of all members. If any member of the Corporation is dismissed or leaves of their own free will, they shall forfeit their resource rights, and any attempt to regain said resources will be met with extreme prejudice.
3. All members of the Corporation must have some form of security deposited with the Corporation to remain a member in good standing. This security could be in the form of resources, credits, or even ships. This deposit, once verified by a primary or secondary tier member, will entitle the member to all knowledge and resources approved to their tier. This deposit makes them a “shareholder”, with rights to participate in shareholder meetings and vote on company decisions.
4. Any betrayal of the Corporation will be dealt with harshly. Any member who intentionally harms the Corporation will be expelled and have a bounty placed on their head, which shall be renewed continuously from the Corporation’s resources until such time as the shareholders of the Corporation are satisfied.
Conflict-
Overt conflict is to be avoided. If any other faction or individual acts against the Corporation, members have permission to defend themselves and Corporation property, but any form of retaliation requires approval by the shareholders. However, if a form of retaliation is agreed upon, all members must participate. Failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of part of their deposit and a demotion from their current tier.
A. For Individuals, the procedure will depend on their affiliation or lack thereof. If they are affiliated with a larger organization, negotiations will commence for either reparations or rights to deal with the offender. If both options are refused, then the Corporation will decide on the best course of action to resolve the issue with the enemy organization. If they are unaffiliated, they will either pay reparations or be dealt with until the Corporation’s shareholders are satisfied.
B. For Organizations, the same procedures will be followed as are found in regards to Individuals. If they agree to reparations, then the matter will be settled. However, if the opposing organization refuses to pay reparations, then the shareholders will vote as to whether they will be a Passive enemy or and Active enemy.
