TASK FORCE 876

Private Military Company

History

The hiring of mercenaries is a common practice in the history of armed conflict. The services and expertise offered by Task Force 876 are typically similar to those of governmental security, military or police forces, most often on a smaller scale. Task Force 876 provides armed and unarmed security services and expertise to private and public clients.

HISTORY

Task Force 876 is an global, Private Military Company, founded in 2900 by a couple of former UEE Marines to provide support and training to law enforcement and military organizations aswell as offer the private sector the ability to defend their cargo and lifes against the rising Vanduul threat, not to mention the pirates and criminals roaming the star systems.

Years of service in the UEE – United Earth Empire Army, Navy and/or Marines provided us with the knowledge to start training new recruits, who are undergoing several months of base training. Each mission is new expierenced to be gained.

TF876 PRIVATE MILITARY CONTRACTORS

The TF876 PMC’s are one of many Special Operations Forces in the galaxy. Their methods of operation allow them to conduct missions against targets that more conventional forces cannot approach undetected. TF876 PMC’s are recruited from all three services (UEE Marine Corps, Army, and Navy) and are a strictly all volunteer fighting force.

TF876 PMC’s are not embedded within conventional UEE forces; they do however participate in joint operations, and tend to be force multipliers – increasing the effectiveness and morale of those they fight alongside. TF876 PMC combat teams usually consist of six to eight people – with each combat team specializing in a particular mission set, but they are expected to be flexible enough to adapt to any given situation.

The PMC’s perform highly specialized, small scale, high-risk operations including:

Deep Space/Ground Surveillance or Long Range Reconnaissance:
Patrols in small groups, in uniform, usually far behind the enemy lines. Groups engaging in surveillance deep behind enemy lines, are commonly known as “Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols” or LRRP’s.

Direct Action:
Short-duration strikes and other small-scale offensive actions conducted as a special operation in hostile, denied, or politically sensitive environments and which employ specialized military capabilities to seize, destroy, capture, exploit, recover, or damage designated targets. Direct action differs from conventional offensive actions in the level of physical and political risk, operational techniques, and the degree of discriminate and precise use of force to achieve specific objectives.

Unconventional Warfare:
Military and paramilitary operations, normally of long duration, predominantly conducted by indigenous or surrogate forces who are organized, trained, equipped, supported, and directed in varying degrees by an external source. It includes guerrilla warfare and other direct offensive, low visibility, covert, or clandestine operations, as well as the indirect activities of subversion, sabotage, intelligence gathering, escape and evasion.

Counter-Terrorism Operations:
The response to terrorist threats and/or acts, both real and imputed.

Counter-Contraband Operations:
Missions undertaking the recapturing of smuggled/stolen goods or hardware.

Personnel and Special Equipment Recovery/Capture:
The recovery/medical treatment of friendly personnel in combat environments, as well as the capability of capturing high valued individuals and any equipment.

TF876 LOGISTICS AND INDUSTRIAL

Our organization operates as a self-sufficient force within the vast reaches of space, employing an elite team of industrial and logistics personnel alongside a well-equipped fleet to handle all aspects of our interstellar ventures. The backbone of our operations is rooted in three core services: mining, transportation, and salvaging. Each of these services is crucial to our mission, allowing us to secure resources, establish economic independence, and maintain control over our operations. Here’s a closer look at each:

Mining
Our mining operations are the lifeblood of our resource acquisition. Our specialized crew conducts deep-space mining across various star systems, extracting essential minerals, rare ores, and other valuable elements directly from asteroids, planetary surfaces, and moons. Equipped with advanced drills, automated mining drones, and specialized mining vessels, our teams can access and harvest rare materials that fuel our economy, enable the construction and enhancement of our fleet, and serve as a trade commodity when needed. The mining sector operates under strict safety protocols, as hostile factions often target these high-value sites. Consequently, each mining expedition is heavily secured by armed guards and defense drones, ensuring the crew’s safety and our continued resource flow.

Transportation
The transportation division is the network connecting all aspects of our organization’s operations. From resource relocation to personnel transit, our transportation teams ensure smooth, reliable, and timely movement between destinations. Whether hauling mined resources to processing facilities, transporting salvage to be assessed, or deploying personnel to distant outposts, our state-of-the-art freighters and transport vessels are designed for secure, high-capacity travel. Each vessel is staffed with skilled pilots and protected by advanced shielding and weaponry, guaranteeing both the safety of valuable cargo and the reliability of deliveries. Additionally, each crew member undergoes rigorous training to handle encounters with hostile forces or dangerous environmental conditions in deep space.

Salvaging
Salvaging is our strategic initiative for extracting value from abandoned or destroyed ships, derelict space stations, and lost cargo. Specialized teams, known as “Recovery Crews,” are trained to handle the challenges of recovering valuable parts, rare technologies, and useful resources from wreckage fields. They operate under hazardous conditions, often near active combat zones or unstable cosmic phenomena, to reclaim parts and resources for reuse or sale. Our salvage vessels are equipped with reinforced hulls, grappling arms, and cutting-edge scanners to detect, assess, and retrieve materials efficiently. Salvage operations are critical not only for financial gain but also for gathering insights into enemy technology and enhancing our own capabilities. These crews are backed by our defensive units to deter rival factions who frequently contest these sites.

Together, these services form a highly organized, independent operational structure that keeps us strong and sustainable within this universe. By leveraging our own people, ships, and technology, we maintain a self-reliant presence, while remaining ever-ready to secure our assets and expand our reach in the galaxy.

TF876 BOUNTY HUNTERS

Our group also consists of a few skilled Bounty Hunters, therefor we can also provide optional services, such as bounty hunting and prisoner transport.

Both infamous and anonymous at the same time, Bounty Hunters are far more than mercenaries for hire, they’re heirs to a professional legacy, an ancient brotherhood with a glorious history. Tracking elusive targets across multiple star systems requires expertise, especially when the targets can be prominent, powerful, and often prepared for confrontation.

Whether working for credits or principle, the Bounty Hunter pursues his targets with dogged determination and methodical precision. Bounty Hunters are renowned for their versatility on the battlefield and their ability to go toe-to-toe with all kind of criminals. Whoever they must face, however, the Bounty Hunter comes armed with the most-advanced weaponry on the black market, packing heavy firepower but always keeping a variety of tricks and gadgets ready to go.

The Bounty Hunter’s path lies along the edge, the stakes are always high, and the path only leads two places, to a life of infamous glory… or to a quick and ignominious death.
