Task Force Chimera is a former UEE 2nd Fleet auxiliary unit now operating with broad autonomy across imperial space. With the Navy stretched thin and corporate security forces in systems like Stanton proving inconsistent at best, we step in to reinforce the gaps.
History
Task Force Chimera was originally established as an auxiliary detachment within the UEE 2nd Fleet, tasked with supporting frontline naval operations through logistics, reconnaissance, intelligence gathering, sensor coverage, and light‑engagement patrols. Designed as a flexible, multi‑role element, the task force often operated ahead of or alongside larger fleet assets, providing the data and support needed to keep major naval groups mobile and effective.
In the years following its formation, the task force earned a reputation for reliability and adaptability, frequently deployed to volatile sectors where information was scarce and response times mattered. As threats within imperial borders shifted from large‑scale conflicts to decentralized piracy and organized crime, the unit’s mission evolved.
Today, Task Force Chimera maintains its auxiliary status with the UEE Navy but functions with greater independence, patrolling trade routes, responding to distress calls, and conducting anti‑piracy operations throughout the Empire. Though smaller than traditional naval elements, Task Force Chimera’s precision and versatility continue to make it a trusted asset wherever stability is at risk.
