History
2075-2165
The end of the 21st century was a turbulent time on Earth. Resources were at a premium and it was becoming increasing difficult for citizens to gain access to new wealth. A loose gathering of start-ups and forward thinkers began planning for colonization of other star systems. Over the next seventy years countless amounts of wealth and planning paid off. A flotilla of colonial ships left Earth on 2165 to start new lives on the recently terraformed Mars.
2165-2250
Life was improving for most people on Earth and Mars, but the thirst for exploration was not satisfied. Using the new wealth from their work on Mars the Colonists once again took to the stars in 2250. “The Chosen”, a group of the strongest, smartest, and bravest placed themselves in stasis and set course for the unknown. Traveling at relativistic speed with the crew in stasis, the flotilla’s advanced artificial intelligence handled course correction and navigation.
2250-2500
After 200 years of travel, the AI aboard the ships were unable to locate a sustainable planet for colonization. The flotilla’s captains decided to spend another 50 years in stasis and push out further from Sol System. In 2500 the colonists awoke once again. By this point the technology of earth had spread and news of First Contact with Banu reached the flotilla. “The Chosen” decided it would work with the Banu. The Banu were also new to the stars, but they shared the passion for commerce and trading.
2500-2567
The colonists began settling down in the other reaches and began extensive trading operations to support other colonists in the area. Following contact with the Xi’an, the rise of piracy the need for security in the outer systems was needed. “The Chosen” re-focused their efforts and formed The Fold.
2567-Present
The Fold still focuses on commerce and exploration, but they have become a respectable mercenary organization. Using their vast resources, they amassed several ships and fleets capable of protecting themselves and the persons or organizations willing to pay for their services. That is now the model that drives The Fold. Exploration, Trade, Commerce and Protection.

Manifesto
Commerce and Trade
The Fold has an obligation to its members, investors and clients to be financially stable, profitable, and sustainable. All avenues where there are resources to gather, and credits to be earned are to be evaluated and considered.
Exploration
The foundation of The Fold, was built by explorers. It is our heritage to be on the front lines of exploration and to seek out new opportunities.
Protection
The Fold must protect its members and clients. Investment in commerce, trade, exploration and strengthening our fleet is a policy.
Charter
Community Standards
1) All members must be at least 18 years or older.
2) The Fold a Division of The Chosen® Gaming Community does not discriminate against other members based on: sex, sexual orientation, creed, political beliefs, or any other protected status.
3) Organization and Community Leaders reserve the right end or prohibit conversations that are polarizing or divisive.
4) The Fold a Division of The Chosen® Gaming Community adheres to a strict no drama policy. We expect our members to have “thick skin” and still be mindful of their actions and how they will affect others. Members are expected to handle conflicts on their own, if conflicts cannot be resolved they should be brought to an Officer or Organization Leader for arbitration. Organization Leaders reserve the right to protect the integrity of their organization, and their decision should be seen as final.
5) We adhere to a two strike policy, however, some cases may merit immediate removal from the community.
