We at The Legends Corporation (LGD) are recruiting exploration vessels as well as miners and shipment class cruisers to explore, claim, and mine as many resources as possible in order to master the verse. All employees must maintain a professional demeanor or they will be terminated.
Throughout mankinds history, not including all of time, but since mankind has understood the struggles of business; we have striven to make a place for ourselves out of the collective. Our character is what makes our individual word-of-mouth stand out amongst the minds of the corporate universe. It is what allowed any of us to go from a person with an idea, to someone of great financial status within the course of a lifetime, or less. Some were lost along the way; some were content with just being there; and some crazy few had the correct brand of character to drive them towards reaching new heights in capital.
James D. Jones is one such individual. A life unlike any other; not just for being an individual, but for aspiring to be the individual from a family lineage of great individuals that rested the mantle of greatness on the shoulders of the one who would make the most worth of everything they had done before him.
In the late 2860’s James D. Jones’ great grandfather, Charles E. Jones, seized an opprotunity in the United Empire of Earth’s most recently proposed endeavor, The SynthWorld. During the end of 2867 and into much of 2868 he garnered investors for a new corporation which he planned to focus eighty percent of its business in The SynthWorld project. September 17th, 2868 he launches his new corporation, Jones Corp. and instills three companies within it to handling exploration, mining, and distributing seperately. Because of how the three companies are setup, each will profit off of their combined efforts in a horizontal monopoly.
With the same charisma he used to get investors; he encourages the UEE to payout a large sum in advance to him and he takes a major risk in buying out his investors within the first year creating an S-corp. Once he had accomplished this bold task he reorganized the three companies with his ideas being the only controlling priorities, just as he had originally intended. Cardinal Exploration LLC became tasked with seeking out new areas in which to harvest resources, and received the very first Hewett Award for demonstrating the greatest respect for the UEE’s Fair Chance Act in its discovery and acquisition of new, untapped resources amongst The Verse. Secure Abutment Mining LLC proves itself to be a solid investment in the eyes of the UEE financial advisors, using the latest in technology for mining and updating every three years like clockwork. Logistical Consignment LLC sets a new standard for the world of distributing, many of the tactics devised by the staff at the time of its creation are still implemented today.
Charles E. Jones had fathered a total of five children by 2871 and began to lay plans in 2888 for a family trust so he could insure that his S-corp would be given to his offspring. He planned a turnover date of September 17th, 2893. Exactly twenty-five years after his creation of Jones Corp. He left them with one final decree, “You all have exactly twenty-five years to do as I had done. You must buyout each others shares so that only one of you can hand this corporation down to your children, and they must in turn do the same. For all time.”
In 2916 James R. Jones, Charles E. Jones’ eldest child; successfully carries out his father’s wishes and buys off the shares of each of his siblings. He is then set to hand over the S-corp in a trust to his three children in 2918. During his time, and the time of his siblings, the LLC’s each doubled in size under their leadership. He was given most of the credit for that by the very siblings he bought out. His final words as owner of Jones Corp. were, “The family that stays together, brings shares together.” His siblings remarked him for having their father’s charisma, and then some.
These happy times did not last as long as they were hoped to have been. In 2920 the United Empire of Earth’s economy began to feel the incredible pressure of its overinvestment in a still imcomplete SynthWorld. Having contined their stance of devoting eighty percent of their business to the UEE’s work on SynthWorld, Jones Corp. was recieving quick and steep losses in profit. October 25th, 2922; fearing the eventual colapse of their grandfather’s and father’s gift to them, James R. Jones’ middle child, George L. Jones recieves an offer from his siblings to recieve their shares earlier than most would expect for a much reduced cost. He agrees and assumes controll of Jones Corp. for the next twenty-one years.
Over his career as the head of Jones Corp. George made sure his company remained profitable each quarter, but still slowly lost the S-corp’s overall value. Each of the three LLC’s recieved a heavy hit each year and employees begin to lose faith as the end of the year norm became an event of busied work to show their individual value in not being the one to be “let go” by their respective LLC. The CEO of each LLC began to band themselves together and by the end of the twenty-five preset years they decided it was time for a change.
George L. Jones only father one child, James D. Jones. Named in respect for the brillance and legendary business savvy of his father, James R. Jones. In 2943 James D. Jones is set to take up the mantle of responsibilty for all of Jones Corp. But “clearer” heads are set to prevail, and the three LLC’s CEOs propose a plan to George L. Jones to make everyone happy. They feel that each of them can better run their own companies if they had individual control over them. They offer George his full retirement fund; equal in value to that of Charles E. Jones own, as well as a contract for guaranteed pay to James D. Jones to continue Jones Corp. as a C-corp and make him a limited partner. The offer sounds more than reasonable, but George doesn’t want to be the one to decide what is done. Each predecessors retirement was paid off by their succesors. James R. Jones paid for his father’s retirement. George did the same for his father. He wanted to see whether or not his son James would do the same or choose to opt out.
James D. Jones was born September 17th, 2918. He was set to recieve the S-corp on his birthday. When the LLC’s CEOs and his father told him about this a month prior to the set turnover date, he weighed his options carefully; for all of five seconds. James has the three wills that have always driven mankind foward: from his father he was given the fortitude to last through the tough times; from his grandfather he was given the brillance to exceed all expectations; and from his great-grandfather he was given the boldness to do what many would say is wreckless. WIth the pride of his three predecessors within him he stood up tall and proclaimed, “I will make the value of this S-corp twice that of my great-grandfather’s ever was in 10 years, and if I fail I will hand complete control of Jones Corp. over to its compamies for absolutely no buyout!” With incredible fear and great pride his father stood up and clapped, spurring the three LLC’s CEOs to follow suit and they cheered in support of the young man. They saw in him the same spirit that created Jones Corp. and were in awe and excitment of what they believed could be possible under the leadership of James D. Jones.
WIth a set date of September 17th, 2953 to make his promise matter, James wasted little time in creating a plan for the future. He spent the next two years recreating the LLC’s of the S-corp for the purposes of his newfound mission in life. He had the CEOs of each LLC accept new presidents of his choice and renamed each company to make each president seem like a new member of the family: Cardinal Exploration LLC was renamed Donald Ventures LLC; Secure Abutment Mining LLC was renamed Arch End Mining LLC; and Logistical Consignment LLC was renamed Transmittal Enterprises LLC. He also changed the S-corp’s named to The Legends Corp. or LGD CORP for short.
With his head held high and his dreams held even higher he set off in 2945 with one purpose in mind; the phrase that he made the company slogan; the words of his great-grandfather, “For All Time.”
We all live in the society of the stars. A neverending diversity of people exist amongst the verse and in order for us to standout as individuals we must prove ourselves amoung the best.
The Legends Corporation prides itself on being a collective of interesting and competitive individuals; not only working for each other, but for themselves as well. There is no better opprotunity for you to display your greatness to the verse than with The LGD.
Many can say this about their own organizations, but none believe so as much as those who belong to The LGD. If you believe you can be great, then by our logic you believe this goal is best reached through us. But not just those who strive for greatness our great. Even those who just work their steady “eight to five” existence unknowingly achieve greatness as they do their time in The LGD.
James D. Jones is a leader who humbly accepts that his own repute is not possible without the illustriousness of the people who work with him. That may seem like an odd choice of words, but it is a factual statement. How can someone stand over all others if they are reliant on others standing above them to benefit them? Donald Ventures LLC, Arch End Mining LLC, and Transmittal Enterprises LLC; and all of their employees are the people who prove James’ greatness. Without their powerful gumption in the business verse to prove themselves, he would have no proof to support is believed stature amonst the verse.
If you are joining us, then you are part of “we” and we are many great people united for ourselves and each other.

As a member of The Legends Corp. you are expected to live up to a code that we have set. If our code is made in a way that does not live up to your expectations or if it asks too much; you can request a revision or submit your resignation. We hope you will not choose the latter.
As a part of The LGD you will be required to display no notions of xenophobia. We allow for any reasonable sentient lifeform amongst the verse to cunduct business with us. Our thinking is as follows:
The Banu – They are the first sentient lifeform, outside of our own, that we have ever known. cooperation with their business is essential for ensuring our support for an intergalatic peace and trade treaty that has existed for over 500 years.
Xi’ An – For the longest time The UEE and the XI-An have been in conflict, but in the recent 100 years we have been at moderate to complete peace with them. We allow for work to be done for them as you see fit.
Tevarin – The checkered past of UEE relations with the Tevarin may have left a lasting mark, but we do not discriminate against their business. Credits are credits.
We all know that the SynthWorld project in the Chronos System is becoming a slow failure, but we of The LGD believe that Charles E. Jones foresight in becoming apart of its’ creation is still in the right and we will continue to encourage LGD employees to seek ventures related to its’ completion.
In 2975 The Fair Chance Act was ratified and is still in effect today. We comply with the act completely. In your work as a part of Donald Ventures LLC, whom would be the only company that would be involved in such manners, you must retain a sense of the acts’ imporatnce. If you venture across a planet with a sentient species you are to catalog all pertinent data about said planets’ available resources and send it to The LGD board. In the event that the sentient species has developed to a pre-space era, you are allowed to broker a deal, in cooperation with Transmittal Enterprises LLC, for trading use of their resources for acceptable payment (Board of Directors will decide the payment).
The UEE Military powers are deserving of our constant respect. They serve us and in turn The LGD does its very best to serve them. In any event wherein the UEE military is involved, whether it be in a system we arrive at or a system we are currently engaged in, full cooperation with the UEE military is expected of each and every employee of The LGD.
The LGD will have its own security detail for our operations abroad. The Board of Directors will decide who fills that role. Always allow the security detail to handle safety and cooperate with them fully. In the event of a Vanduul raid, they will engage as The LGD employees retreat. Note that LGD employees are far more important than company assets and their safety will always take priority. In the event of a pirate assualt the same concept follows. In relation to dealing with known hostiles of other sorts you as an employee of The LGD are require to deliver a minimum of one hail for them to leave the space around you before being permitted to fire at will.
As an employee of The LGD you may come across victims of an attack. Please do your best to assist them within your means and remember that your life still takes priority. Pick up adrift citizens and if there are hostiles in the area report the finding of said citizens to the UEE immediately.
Finally, The LGD supports the advancement of the UEE and encourages its employees to behave in a manner that best reflects that. So be your absolute best, “For All Time.”
