Thrusters and Dust: An org for those who see value in every wrecked ship, dedicated to salvage, restoration, and resale. Founded by Dusty Star, we’re focused on turning scrap into opportunity, helping players breathe life back into derelicts and build a ship restoration business in the ‘verse.
History
Thrusters & Dust was founded by Dusty Star with a simple idea.
Wrecked ships are not the end of their story.
They are the beginning of another one.
What started as one pilot recovering broken hulls and stripped components grew into a way of working. Every ship was treated as something worth understanding, not just salvaging. Systems were studied. Parts were reused. Designs were respected.
Over time, others who saw the same value found their way here.
Thrusters & Dust became a crew of builders, restorers, and operators who believe ships are more than tools. They are machines with intent behind them, even when they are left drifting and forgotten.
Today, the organization focuses on recovering, repairing, and returning ships to service across the ‘verse. Not just to fly again, but to be understood.
Because out here, nothing is ever truly lost. It just hasn’t been rebuilt yet.

Manifesto of Thrusters and Dust
At Thrusters and Dust, we believe that every wreck holds potential. Our mission is to see beyond the rust and broken parts, transforming derelict ships and abandoned components into something valuable, functional, and ready to take on the stars again. Founded on Dusty Star’s ideals, we are a community of salvagers, restorers, and dreamers who know that a skilled hand and a vision can turn scraps into gold.
Our goals are simple:
- To rescue and restore wrecked ships, bringing them back to life.
- To create an in-game market where these restored vessels find a new purpose, giving players a reliable place to trade for quality ships with history.
- To foster a network of like-minded players, all driven by the ambition to make a mark in the Star Citizen universe through hard work and dedication.
We believe in turning loss into opportunity, and in building an economy where value is earned through grit and craftsmanship. Thrusters & Dust Org Charter
Thrusters & Dust is a civilian salvage, recovery, and ship restoration organization.
Our primary focus is the acquisition, repair, documentation, and return of damaged or abandoned spacecraft to service. We treat ships as machines worth understanding, maintaining, and preserving.
We are not a PvP focused organization. We do not run piracy, interdiction, or aggressive player hunting as a core activity.
We operate in contested and lawless space and accept that danger is part of the job. Defensive force, escorts, and security coordination are legitimate tools when required to complete work and protect crews and assets.
Members are free to participate in other organizations and playstyles outside Thrusters & Dust activities. While operating under the Thrusters & Dust banner, members are expected to act in a professional, civilian manner aligned with salvage and restoration work.
Thrusters & Dust does not declare enemies, wage ideological wars, or engage in factional posturing. We focus on the work in front of us.
