WE FIGHT SO NO EVIL SHALL ESCAPE THE DARK
Formed by a small band of citizens back in 2945 to maintain order in the small settlement of Ludow on the Planet hurton The Rebel Alliance of Stanton has been running on low funds and scraps to defend cargo ships and settlers from outlaws and other harmful citizens throughout the verse despite losing many members and being a shell of what it was before there are still people willing to put up the fight to ensure the verse is as safe as can be
For too long, the United Empire of Earth has peddled the illusion of safety. They tell you that without their sprawling bureaucracy, their corrupt Advocacy agents, and their untouchable Megacorporations, the Verse would collapse into chaos. They demand your labour, your credits, and your obedience, promising that the UEE Navy will protect you.
But when the Vanduul strike, where are they? When pirate syndicates blockade your trade routes, whose distress beacons go unanswered? When a corporation decides your habitat is more valuable as a strip mine, who protects you then?
The answer is no one. The Empire is a rotting leviathan, choking on its own greed.
We are TRAOS. The UEE calls us outlaws. The megacorps call us a liability. We call ourselves the only honest guns left in the Verse.
We are a Private Military Company, yes. We sell our trigger fingers, our tactical minds, and our ships. But we do not sell our souls, and we never bend the knee to the establishment. We operate in the grey spaces, navigating the jump points between law and true justice. We are a brotherhood and sisterhood of former military, disillusioned security forces, and survivalists who woke up to the lie.
If you fly with us, or if you hire us, know the tenets by which we live, fight, and die:
I. WE ARE OUR OWN MASTERS
We take contracts, not orders. If a job conflicts with our code, no amount of UEC can buy our allegiance. We do not recognise the arbitrary laws of a corrupt Senate, nor do we fear the Advocacy. Our jurisdiction is wherever our thrusters can take us.
II. THE OPPRESSOR IS NOT A CLIENT
We will not break strikes for Hurston Dynamics. We will not forcefully evict colonists for MicroTech. We will not be the hired thugs of the 1%. Our crosshairs are reserved for those who prey on the weak, the tyrants who hide behind polished desks, and the threats the UEE is too cowardly to face.
III. BLOOD OVER CREDITS
A contract is a promise, but our people are our lifeblood. We do not leave our own behind in the black. When you wear the colours of TRAOS, you have a family that will scorch the atmosphere of any moon to pull you out of the fire.
IV. WE ARE THE SHIELD AND THE SWORD
To the forgotten systems and the independent outposts: when the Empire abandons you, we will answer the call. We offer premier security, escort, and assault services to those who actually need them, at rates that respect the struggle of the common citizen.
The Verse is changing. The grip of the Empire is slipping, and in the cracks of their crumbling authority, a new order is being forged. Not by politicians in glittering halls, but by men and women in the pilot seats of Corsairs, Vanguards, and Retaliators.
To the UEE Navy and corporate lapdogs: stay out of our flight path.
To the oppressed, the forgotten, and the defiant: our comms are open.
We are TRAOS.
ARTICLE I: PURPOSE AND MANDATE
Section 1. Core Mission
The primary function of TRAOS is to provide premier paramilitary services, including but not limited to: combat operations, armed escort, strategic reconnaissance, asset retrieval, and perimeter defence.
Section 2. The Rebel Mandate
We utilise our martial capabilities to disrupt oppressive corporate monopolies and challenge unjust UEE authority. We prioritise contracts that empower independent systems and marginalised populations.
Section 3. Autonomy
TRAOS retains the absolute right of refusal on any contract. We are beholden to no government, corporation, or external syndicate.
ARTICLE II: MEMBERSHIP AND RANKS
Section 1. Eligibility
Membership is open to any pilot, marine, engineer, or support staff who demonstrates the required skill and commits fully to this Charter, regardless of their prior UEE standing or current crimestat (subject to Officer review).
Section 2. Chain of Command
A strict chain of command must be maintained during combat and tactical operations. Outside of active operations, we govern through a council system to ensure fair representation.
The High Command (The Core): Responsible for overarching strategy, alliance formation, and final contract approval.
Squadron/Platoon Commanders: Responsible for tactical execution and the welfare of their units.
Specialists (Pilots, Gunners, Medics, Engineers): The operational backbone.
Initiates (Prospects): Those undergoing evaluation before full induction.
Section 3. Severance
Membership may be terminated by a majority vote of the High Command for violations of this Charter. In cases of treason, severance is immediate and often lethal.
ARTICLE III: RULES OF ENGAGEMENT (R.O.E.)
Section 1. Contract Adherence
Once a contract is accepted, it is binding. Failure to complete a contract harms our reputation and is grounds for discipline, unless the client intentionally misrepresented the mission parameters or violated our core tenets.
Section 2. Prohibited Targets
Members are strictly forbidden from initiating hostile action against unarmed civilians, medical vessels (unless confirmed as hostile combatants in disguise), and non-combatant independent traders.
Section 3. Corporate and UEE Assets
Corporate security and UEE Naval/Advocacy forces are considered hostile if they impede our operations. Members are authorised to use necessary force to eliminate these obstacles and secure our objectives. Unprovoked attacks on these entities are subject to High Command approval, depending on current strategic goals.
Section 4. Piracy vs. Privateering
We are a private military company, not indiscriminate scavengers. Any seizure of cargo or assets must be tactically justified, approved by a Commander, or part of an agreed-upon contract. Random griefing or petty piracy is a violation of our professional code.
ARTICLE IV: RESOURCE DISTRIBUTION AND ASSETS
Section 1. The War Chest
A mandatory percentage (typically 15-20%, to be defined by High Command) of all contract payouts and seized assets will be deposited into the Organisation War Chest. This fund is used for capital ship maintenance, base building, rearming, and compensation for lost ships.
Section 2. Individual Payouts
The remainder of the contract payout is divided among the participating members based on the risk and role undertaken during the operation, as determined by the active Commander.
Section 3. Medical and Ship Replacement
The Organisation will subsidise medical recovery and insurance claims for assets lost during official, sanctioned operations, subject to the availability of funds in the War Chest.
ARTICLE V: DISCIPLINE AND JUSTICE
Section 1. The Code of Silence
Operational details, base locations, and member identities are strictly classified. Breaching operational security (OpSec) is considered the highest form of treason.
Section 2. Internal Conflict
Disputes between members must be resolved internally, either through mediated discussion by a Commander or, in extreme cases, non-lethal combat in the arena. Sabotaging a fellow member is grounds for immediate expulsion.
Section 3. Treason
Any member found colluding with the UEE Advocacy, rival PMCs, or hostile syndicates against the interests of TRAOS will be branded a traitor. The penalty for treason is death, and a bounty will be issued across the Verse.
RATIFICATION
By flying under the banner of TRAOS, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and swear to uphold this Charter. I recognise that my loyalty is to the Organisation first, the contract second, and my own glory third.
