Trident / TRE

It Began in 480 BC during the Peloponnesian War in the year Pericles ruled Athens. A man named Pelias who claimed to be the son of Poseidon himself was the captain of the Athenian Navy. He and two of his closest brothers Orion and Polyphemus were in command of a galley named Poseidon after their father. Pelias was the oldest of the three and was a well-renowned sailor who assisted Themistocles in his war against the Persians and helped ensure survival from Greece’s greatest threat. When the war ended Pelias became famous throughout the ancient world and with the wealth he obtained from the war, he founded Trident, a private military to protect trade and commerce throughout the Aegean Sea. Built on loyalty, honor, and perseverance, the three pillars of the trident; Trident became a safeguard to not only Greeks but all merchants and people traveling through the Aegean Sea. And so was born the House of Pelias which will go on to bear every Admiral of Trident. For hundreds of years, Trident would expand and grow into a very powerful mercenary group loyal to no one but House Pelias and its clients. Trident will go on to help many great houses and corporations in internal and external affairs across all theaters of war and defense. Centuries later in the year 25343 BCE, House Yaing created the first quantum drive ushering in a new era of space travel for humanity. With that came new challenges for big businesses and great houses that expanded throughout different systems to conduct their affairs. Pirates began raiding convoys, stealing goods, and hindering business operations for many companies throughout the UEE. And though the UEE had its hands full of threats against aliens and pirates, many corporations looked to Trident for protection to put their businesses back on track. House Pelias will go on to make Green an ocean planet in the Ellis system, their new home, and where Trident will set up their base of operations.
