TRADE RESEARCH INTERDICTION SALVAGE TACTICAL
In 2934 Agora Pharmaceuticals, a struggling medical research company announced to its staff that it would be shutting down at the end of the year due to three straight quarters of losses. This was to no one’s surprise as the company had been fighting an uphill battle in an already saturated market for years. Instead of starting the search for a new job like everyone else, two interns intent on keeping their jobs approached the company’s CEO with a peculiar proposal. The men asked to borrow 10,000 UEC from the company and one of the ageing escort craft claiming they had what it took to keep the company afloat by subsidizing the companies losses with money they could gain by taking on UEE bounty work. The intern’s proposal was rejected by the company’s board of directors, most of whom had already lined up other work for the upcoming year. The company’s Chief Financial Officer Sami Keaton, impressed by their initiative sidestepped the board of directors by giving the two men half of the budget they asked for out of his own pocket and allowing them to borrow one of his personal ships. Mysteriously the company posted 4th quarter earnings in the green and the company found itself promoting two interns into management roles the following year. The Board of Directors allowed the creation of a budget for an Interdiction division charged with completing UEE bounty’s for the benefit of the company. Thirteen years and a name change later the TRIST Corporation has expanded to having 5 separate divisions with Interdiction remaining a core component.

Charter
Starting out:
Working your way through the ranks at TRIST is very simple. Every new pilot begins as a wingman.
A wingman flies with a more experienced pilot (their assigned handler) on Trade escort missions. After receiving the recommendation of their handler they become a member of the Trade division and a full member in standing with the TRIST Corporation. No longer under trainee status, all (paid) missions completed on the Corporations behalf are recorded as a “Flight Record”.
After proving their capability by completing certain tasks for their flight record, pilots head over to the research division to get a few ship upgrades before being assigned to a more specific position within the Corporation. This assignment is the first career path choice a pilot will make, they may remain and operate as an agent of the trade division and work their way up to become a handler, but most are encouraged to leave the trade division to pursue advancement in a different division of the company.
Rank Structure: (Job Field)
0. Wingman: A trainee looking to join the TRIST Corporation. Assigned a handler with whom they must complete a minimum of 5 missions with and get a positive recommendation from.
1. Trade Agent: A member of the Trade organization who is either working towards becoming a handler or gaining flight experience necessary to request a change in divisions.
2. Research Technician: A member of the Research organization who is working towards becoming a scientist or going through a flight package in order to transition to another division.
3. Interdiction Officer: A TRIST pilot specializing in bounty collection and anti-piracy operations. This pilot works as a member of an HK team to track and destroy profitable marks or capture and collect bounties on enemies of the UEE.
4. Salvager: A member of a salvage team tasked with recovering shipwrecks for clients. Salvage division members also works as part of the corporate fuel operations program, running well guarded starfarer’s to their destinations.
5. Tactical Operator: An officer of the private military arm of the TRIST Corporation. These pilots serve as multi faceted “jack of all trades” as they train to be accepted into the Hightower Special Operations Group.
