In 2941, Access Inc signed a deal with [REDACTED] for a sum of [REDACTED] UEC, whilst not much is known about this deal, presumably for security reasons, it is known is that this deal allowed for almost an entire overhaul of Access Inc’s inventory, upgrading to a brand new headquarters close to the Terra CBD with a new business class hangar constructed by Aeroview Hangars, capable of holding 30 spacecraft, and upgradable if necessary. This funding also allowed for the purchase of many new ships, including a Drake Interplanetary Cutlass, Origin Jumpworks 325a and an RSI Constellation Andromeda. Every member of Access Inc now had the ability to fly a solo mission or duo mission with a fighter escort for higher priority missions.

In 2943, during a high-risk mission carrying many tens of thousands of UEC worth of high-priority cargo through known Vanduul territory, an Access Inc convoy was viciously attacked by a large group of highly skilled Vanduul pilots, an odd amount of Vanduul with much more skill than has been previously observed in the system. The battle lasted many hours as the escorting Access Fighters attempted to fend off the relentless Vanduul while the cargo-carrying Constellation and Freelancer took attempting to escape through the closest jump point.

Access Inc did not know exactly what it was they were transporting, but the Vanduul wanted it badly. A convoy Freelancer and 3 escorting 300 Series fighters went down in the battle, only the Constellation was able to flee through the jump point, albeit with two main thrusters down and a severely damaged.

None of the Access Fleet’s members lost their lives that day as ejection procedures were properly followed and executed, though the bravery of those involved in protecting the cargo did not go unnoticed. Fleet members S4nity, Hellion and Nyxteros were offered a well-deserved promotion and raise, but instead, the trio saw a need outside of Access Inc for transport security. This lead to the foundation of Titan Guard, a company still to this day heavily affiliated and on good terms with Access Inc.

CEO Vengeance gave a statement to the press in the weeks following the battle, “It’s sad to some of our best pilots leave Access Incorporated, I cannot thank them enough for their bravery during the battle, the protection of the cargo led to a large increase in our reputation. They have since founded Titan Guard, our new sister company, and is our go-to fleet for the protection of our high-priority cargo”.
