“The stars don’t belong to those who wait for them — they belong to those who take them.”

Shared ambition. Born from an answered distress call in Stanton, The Turtle Crew brings new citizens and experienced specialists together to earn, explore and build our future.

From Star Citizen to Star Lord.

History

A lottery ticket got Tortue off Mars. An answered distress call gave The Turtle Crew its beginning.

He arrived in Stanton with an RSI Aurora MkII, 50,000 UEC, and ambitions far beyond the factory floors of Lorville. In recorded messages to his brother back on Mars, he began telling the story of a new life: From Star Citizen to Star Lord.

The first chapters were earned one contract at a time. Gilly’s combat missions tested his flying. Courier work paid for better equipment. An RSI Meteor expanded his opportunities, followed by a Drake Clipper that carried his growing collection of weapons, armour, and plans.

Then came Ruptura.

While Tortue searched the orbital platform for valuable equipment, pirates destroyed his parked Clipper. A shark-painted Idris-M and its escorts circled outside. He survived the boarding party, but when the attackers finally left, he was stranded.

He transmitted an SOS.

Another pilot answered in an RSI Perseus. The rescue became a shared adventure: a place at the guns, a fight against a Polaris, and a boarding action involving a broken airlock and a fire extinguisher. By the time Tortue returned to Everus Harbor, he had experienced how much more was possible with someone at his side.

The journey to the stars becomes much easier, and certainly more enjoyable, when you have people to share it with.

That is why The Turtle Crew was founded.

We are independent pilots building our future together. We run contracts, explore, mine, salvage, haul cargo, and take on combat operations. We help each other earn credits, develop skills, and work towards bigger ships and more ambitious missions. Along the way, we make room for unexpected adventures, bold plans, and stories worth telling.

New citizens are welcome alongside experienced veterans. Specialists lead the activities they know best, share their knowledge, and help others find their place in the crew. Whether you arrive with a starter ship or years of experience, there is work to do, something to learn, and someone to fly with.

Our ambition is to grow from a small crew into an organisation capable of taking on the biggest opportunities the ’Verse has to offer. Every contract, expedition, rescue, and battle becomes another chapter in that journey.

Tortue still sends his logs home to Mars. These days, there are more people in the stories.

From Star Citizen to Star Lord.

And somewhere on Mars, his brother is still expected to pay for the Radegast.

Manifesto

JOINING THE CREW

Submitting an application on RSI is the first step. To complete your organisation membership, join our Discord, read the community rules and follow the joining instructions.

Discord is where we organise events, form crews and share the details you need to get started.

A GOOD CREW MAKES THE DIFFERENCE

Star Citizen gives us the ships and the universe. We bring the people who make it worth coming back.

The Turtle Crew exists for players who want regular company, organised activities and room to enjoy the unexpected.

NEW PLAYERS BELONG HERE

You do not need a large fleet, years of experience or perfect English. Bring a willingness to cooperate. We will help you find your place in the crew.

EXPERIENCE SHOULD HELP OTHERS

Our activity leaders are recruited for their knowledge, reliability and ability to teach. Their job is to organise good sessions, help members improve and give people a reason to join the next event.

ROOM FOR DIFFERENT PLAYSTYLES

Combat, mining, salvage, cargo, exploration and rescue all have a place here. Members can explore different activities without being locked into one career.

GOOD HUMOUR. MUTUAL RESPECT.

We enjoy a good laugh and can laugh at ourselves when plans go wrong. Some operations are carefully organised. Others happen because someone says, “This could be fun.”

We make room for both. Bring a sense of humour, enjoy the absurd moments and treat the people beside you with respect. A failed landing can become a running joke. Humiliating someone for learning has no place here.

A COMMUNITY AROUND THE CREW

The Turtle Crew was founded by Star Citizen content creator Tortue69.

Our Discord welcomes viewers, YouTube supporters and organisation members. Open community events bring everyone together. Members also have dedicated organisation activities and shared goals.

You are welcome to join the crew whether you discovered us through a video, a livestream or another player. Supporting the channel financially is optional and is not a requirement for organisation membership.

REAL LIFE COMES FIRST

We expect regular participation. When life gets busy, tell us and take a break. Returning crew are welcome.

There are no monthly membership dues.

STORIES WORTH SHARING

Some adventures become streams, videos or cinematic projects. Recording participation is optional and clearly explained before you take part.

Charter

1. JOINING THE CREW

Members must be 18 or older. All experience levels and ships are welcome.

An RSI application is the first step. To complete membership, join our Discord, share your RSI handle and accept our community rules and this Charter. Viewers and guests can join Discord without joining the organisation.

Weekly community events are livestreamed on YouTube and Twitch; see section 5.

2. ACTIVITY AND BREAKS

Join at least one shared Star Citizen session during each rolling seven-day period: an event, training or casual crew gameplay. Watching streams or posting on Discord does not replace gameplay; participants can confirm attendance. Outages and serious technical problems are considered fairly.

Notify leadership privately about breaks; personal details are unnecessary. Agreed breaks pause the activity requirement. Without shared gameplay and without an agreed absence:

  • 30 days: a private warning.
  • 60 days: Reserve status and loss of active operational access.
  • 90 days without contact: membership review and possible removal from RSI.

Reserve members can remain on Discord and contact leadership to return.

3. RESPECT AND FAIR PLAY

Treat members, guests and other players respectfully. Follow CIG, Discord and other applicable platform rules.

  • No harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, scams, cheating or deliberate exploitation.
  • No political discussions in community channels or organised activities.
  • No spam or malicious links; these may result in an immediate ban.
  • No sabotage, operational leaks or using livestream information to disrupt events.
  • Keep PvP and roleplay within the announced activity; agree friendly combat or roleplay conflict with participants beforehand.

Other organisation memberships are welcome without conflicts of interest; disclose conflicts privately. Do not use your position to recruit our members elsewhere without permission. Only authorised representatives may speak officially, make agreements or commit organisation funds.

4. EVENTS AND LEADERSHIP

Follow the event leader, including when you hold a senior rank. Arrive prepared and report cancellations promptly. Agree shared in-game costs and loot splits before play.

Activity leaders are selected for current expertise, reliability and respectful teaching, with practical assessment and a trial period. They organise at least two activities every 30 days, including one learning session.

Leaders explain requirements, brief crews, prepare backup plans, review sessions and settle shared in-game expenses afterwards. Appointments are reviewed; arrange cover or step back when unavailable. Event leaders may remove disruptive participants.

5. COMMUNITY AND RECORDING

The Turtle Crew was founded by Star Citizen content creator Tortue69, who publishes videos and livestreams. Our weekly community events are streamed live on YouTube and Twitch. Gameplay and event voice chat may appear in the broadcast. Other designated sessions and channels may also be recorded.

Viewers and YouTube supporters are welcome. Channel support is optional; advertised YouTube benefits are separate from organisation membership and gameplay requirements. Financial support does not buy rank, leadership or exemptions from the rules.

Accepting this Charter confirms that you understand the recording notice. It does not provide blanket permission to record your private conversations.

Members can remain in the organisation without agreeing to promotional use of their voice or image. Use the designated channels and participation options appropriate to your choice.

Do not record or publish private conversations, messages or personal information without the necessary permission.

6. HELP AND MODERATION

Contact leadership or a moderator privately on Discord with concerns. Depending on severity, moderation may involve a reminder, warning, temporary restriction, event removal or removal from the organisation or server. Serious misconduct may require immediate action. You may request a review.

Rules apply equally to members, leaders and supporters. Material Charter changes will be announced on Discord.
