Kill them all and let god sort’em out

History

Circa 1994, a game based on the Battle Tech universe had been reborn into a new incantation. It was brought over to AOL as a Beta game called Multi Player Battle Tech. It was here, through an accident of birth that The Wild Bunch “TWB” was born. With ideas of old, like that of Butch Cassidy and The Wild Bunch in mind, four players came together to create terror and rain havoc on what was called the inner sphere. These four players soon evolved into ten. Among these ten players, is where Bulldog found himself on the precipice of oblivion. Caught up in the fever of battle and the drive for glory, he devoted his services and skills to the cause. These few grew to hundreds and Bulldog had assumed command of TWB. During this time, TWB had already made a name for itself; The guild had the honor of “TWB” being utilized in the Fasa/Battletech Novel “Prince of Havoc” by Michael Stackpole. The gaming industry at that time had started to enact what was called pay for play. These charges were based on an hourly rate, Games as a whole were still in their infancy, and we as a guild spread out far and wide. At that time Game Storm was born. It gave us access on a monthly flat rate and allowed us to have access to our universe. However, the writing was on the wall that changes were still coming. We rolled into games such as Diablo, Tanerus, LOK Asheron’s Call, WOW and the like. Over the years there have been many trials and tribulations that the guild has overcome. We have seen pay for play; the systematic wipe out of various games that we have enjoyed. We have lost members and friends who drifted apart, or who had an untimely demise. Yet we, after almost 20 years as a guild, still perceive and maintain our bonds of family and friendship. It is these bonds of family and friendship that have kept us together. We will not only help guide the guilds future but the guilds future generations.
