History

Founded: 2940

Runciter Associates was formed in response to rapid growth in the illegal information trade. From the beginning, we have focused on recruiting the very best and brightest in information security. We know how much privacy can mean, especially in an increasingly interconnected galaxy. Our technicians are trained to track down information leaks and help you secure your data.

Manifesto

Runciter Associates is not so much a corporation as an association. Our technicians do not sit in cubicles, or even install secure transmitters for companies. We are the spearhead of information theft prevention. When a leak is suspected, either by Runciter Associates or by another organization, the organization in question contracts to have the leak fixed. This means finding the person or persons responsible for intercepting the information and retrieving the information, if possible.

The technicians are all associates in the corporation. The entire profit of the contract is split between the technicians who fixed the information leak. Runciter Associates does require membership dues: a nominal fee paid yearly that helps with administrative and marketing costs, as well as recruitment.

Technicians all start at the same level, but successfully completing contracts will increase the technician’s position within the corporation. Higher level technicians are sent to higher profile jobs, where organizations are willing to pay more for experienced help.

Failing several contracts will result in termination from the corporation. Runciter Associates prides itself on contracting only skilled technicians to ensure the privacy of our clients.

Charter

Article I – Formation

Runciter Associates is hereby formed, to be governed according to the terms of the charter hereafter.

Article II – Governing Authority

Herb Asher is the registered agent and initial manager of Runciter Associates.

Herb Asher can be contacted through the Runciter Associates Spectrum channel, Spectrum ID: UBIK.

Article III – Purpose

The purpose of Runciter Associates is to organize independent information technicians into a single group to better serve their interests.

Runciter Associates will function by creating contracts with other companies (“Client”) when an information leak is suspected and assigning the contracts to technicians in good standing. Clients can request experienced technicians or multiple technicians if they feel the information leak warrants additional action.

Upon completion of a contract, the Client pays the technician directly, based on the terms of the contract. Payment will be decided before the technician is chosen and will be based on three possible outcomes: 1. The technician determines that there is no leak, 2. The technician discovers the information leak, 3. The technician discovers the information leak and successfully resolves the issue.

Runciter Associates will continue in perpetuity, using member dues to offset administrative, marketing, and recruiting costs. Dues will be charged to all members equally. Dues will be charged on an annual basis. Dues shall not exceed the minimum payment from a contract, which will be decided by the Board of Associates annually. The Board is composed of the CEO and all five-star technicians, or of the CEO and at least four technicians, chosen by experience.

Failure to pay dues will result in probation until dues are paid. Failure of several contracts will result in termination of employment.
