History

History is what we make of it. Our mission will shift and be molded by the members.

We are an 18+ community.

Manifesto

If you are able to help, offer it. If you need help, ask for it. If someone falls, we all lift them back up.

These are the core principals that UCIS and its members operate under. Our mission is simple: Empower the individual through mentorship and mutual aid. UCIS believes that every spacefarer should be able to oeprate alone, but equally important that those individuals recognize the power in comradery and community. UCIS welcomes any and all that wish to operate under our banner. The only requirement is that of mutual respect.

Charter

UCIS is an inclusive and eclectic group. We welcome any and all citizens regardless of identity. Our rules are simple, and apply to all UCIS members and guests participating in any combined arms and open events:

1. Mutual Respect: We are all familiar with the golden rule. Treat others how we ourselves wish to be treated. UCIS recognizes that sometimes this is not as simple as it seems, but we encourage all members to work torwards our goal of maintaining a safe environment for all. Under this rule, any form of racism, homophobia, or any discrimination regarding one’s identity will not be tolerated and may result in the removal from the group. We are first and formost a safe place for all citizens to live life as their true self.

2. Respect for other players: The verse is a dangerous place. Conflict with other players is not a question of if, but when. We ask all UCIS members to keep whatever happens in the game in the game. Threats of real life violence against other players, or revealing of personal information will result in immediate removal from the group.

3. Communication and Participation: There are no minimum activity requirements or participation to remain a member of UCIS. Real life comes first. That said, clear communication is important. Star Citizen gameplay is at its best when done in a group setting, and in-game events can require considerable amounts of planning. Be respectful to the organizers when agreeing to join events by making sure you can attend. If life gets in the way we ask all members to inform the organizers at their earliest convenience. Likewise, when organizing an event be mindful of other players time and ensure the event starts on time.

3.5: Event Preparation: Organizers shall inform all participants of any required items for the operation. If possible, provide items for players who may not have what is needed. Participants shall make their best effort to come to group events on time and with whatever items or vehicles are required of them. Availability varies among members and it is important for all organizers and participants to be mindful of timezone differences and real life commitments when participating in operations.

4. Prohibited activity: Any activity that is a breach of Star Citizen’s Terms of Service will result in immediate removal from the group and may include being reported to CIG staff at the discretion of UCIS Administration. In addition, UCIS will not tolerate any in-game activity that would be considered ‘griefing’ including ramming ships at docking bays/ports/pads, in-game harassment, unprovoked attacks outside of pvp-based activity and open combat zones (contested zones, pvp bounties, Hathor, Rock Breaker, etc) and any such actions may result in disciplinary action.

4.5 Piracy: UCIS recognizes PvP Piracy as legitemate gameplay. That said, any UCIS does not sanction any acts of Piracy or Privateering, and any member who performs such acts does so on their own accord. UCIS will not provide any resources or aid to members who find themselves in conflict due to such activites. To be clear, UCIS members will not receive disciplinary action for piracy, unless such actions are found in violation of rule 4 above.

5. Livestreaming and Content Creation: UCIS is founded by content creators, and content creation of our operations is highly encouraged. All members shall assume that any operations will be recorded or broadcasted, and if voice comms are being used it may be included in the content. If a member does not wish for their voice to be broadcasted, they shall inform the organizer of the event, and may have to participate in the event without voice comms, or be muted. In addition we ask all content creators to be respectful when it comes to promoting their channels. Do not spam links outside of the appropriate channels.

UCIS Administration reserves the right to ammend these rules at any time.
