We keep stations, routes, and outposts spotless. Our crews handle routine cleanup, watch over areas others overlook, move delicate valuables under careful supervision, and respond anytime something needs quiet, reliable attention to keep trouble from piling up, ensuring nothing slips past our watch.
The UEE Janitors trace their origins to July 20th 2954, when Radbout Tersen founded the group on ArcCorp after a life-altering event that reshaped his view of safety in the crowded core worlds. Before that, Radbout had spent years working in industrial cleanup around Area18, a job that brought him close to corners of the city where crime, corruption, and corporate negligence blended into a constant background hum. Most workers accepted that reality. Radbout did not.
Early in his life, Radbout briefly served with the FoxFire Squadron, a small but respected volunteer strike and support unit operating on the edges of corporate space. It was there he learned how to fight when necessary, how to move without drawing attention, and how to operate discreetly in hostile environments. These skills remained buried under his civilian life until the day they were needed again.
In early 2954, a weapons smuggling incident near a transit line in the shadows of ArcCorp Tower 3 triggered a disastrous chain reaction. Containers improperly stored in a neglected service corridor detonated, collapsing a maintenance platform. Someone dear to Radbout was caught in the blast, and the rescue response was painfully slow and disorganized. Official reports blamed infrastructure decay. Radbout saw the truth. The danger had been ignored. The warning signs had been overlooked. And the people responsible had slipped away untouched.
Soon after, Radbout purchased an Anvil Valkyrie, claiming it would support large scale cleanup jobs across ArcCorp’s districts. In reality, he intended it as a mobile operations hub. He recruited like-minded workers who had grown tired of seeing preventable disasters swept under the rug. Engineers with hazardous materials experience. Cargo haulers trained to move sensitive goods. Off duty watch officers who understood quiet vigilance. They all shared one belief. The verse was full of messes far more dangerous than litter.
By late 2955, the UEE Janitors had grown from a small crew on ArcCorp into an interplanetary cleaning outfit offering discreet waste removal and support services. Their public contracts were legitimate, but beneath the surface they developed a reputation among haulers, frontier settlements, and rotating UEE Marines. When high-value items needed quiet transport, Radbout’s crews kept them safe. When a corporate outpost feared unwanted visitors, the Janitors were asked to tidy things up. When remote sites needed watching, they provided eyes under the guise of maintenance staff.
Their fleet expanded, but the Valkyrie remained the heart of operations and a reminder of why the organization existed.
Through the mid 2950s, the Janitors established a strong presence in Stanton, Pyro border regions, and UEE aligned outposts. Their branding remains humble, their uniforms unassuming, but those who work with them understand the deeper truth. They clean what others leave behind, but they also ensure trouble never has a chance to spread.
Radbout’s founding principle endures. We remove problems quietly. Permanently, if needed.
