United Fleet of Themis / UFT

Origins
The United Fleet of Themis was established in 2542 by former UEE Captain Medin Katarn during the Tevarin war. It was established to bring Tevarin and Human together for the common goal of making a profit. In 2544 Medin Katarn was betrayed by some Human crew members who sought to destabilise the newly strengthened bonds between the Humans and the Tevarin of the Fleet. This caused fighting within the fleet, resulting in many Tevarin leaving the shaken fleet. It was later disbanded after a brief conflict.

In 2605 The United Fleet of Themis was re-established by Balak’Dorun a Tevarin who had heard of the fleet’s destruction and wished to rekindle what had been lost. Balak’Dorun was a former trader and therefore centralised the fleet around protecting his trade runs. At first there was little human presence in the fleet however, after Balak’Dorun and his twenty ship strong fleet ran a Tevarin blockade to bring crucial supplies to the human populace of a planet, humans from all corners of the UEE joined the Tevarin-led fleet.

In 2621, after the second Tevarin war leaving the Tevarin defeated, Balak’Dorun although tolerant disbanded the fleet, as the Tevarin majority were becoming increasingly hostile to the Humans of the Fleet.

In 2789 over one hundred and fifty years after the Fleet was disbanded, Korun Hamlar a human explorer re-established the Fleet to try and quell the tensions between the UEE and the Xi’An. He would convince Xi’An and Humans to join him on his explorations helping him to calculate jump-points so Xi’An and Human could bond and enjoy working with each other for the common goal of finding a system and receiving rewards for it. A Xi’An-Human bond was formed within the now one hundred strong fleet. However, in 2798 Korun Hamlar and the third iteration of the United Fleet of Themis disappeared.

In 2942, over one hundred years after the disappearance of Korun Hamlar’s fleet, Cyrus Locklear a Human Freelancer came upon the data that told of Korun Hamlar’s exploits and the United Fleet of Themis. Locklear was a strong believer in interracial unity and so he decided that the profit from his freelancing would go towards the establishment of the fourth generation of the United Fleet of Themis which would focus on unity through cooperation. He would however, expand on this by saying the Fleet was for people of all walks of life who shared his belief in interracial unity.
