Unions Guild of Interspatial Species is a coordinated industrial and military org built for multi-role gameplay. Through specialized “Unions,” members operate across combat, logistics, industry, and diplomacy—from starter contracts to large-scale fleet operations.

History

Established in 2889 by CEO Sivad Samuel, the Unions Guild of Interspatial Species (U.G.I.S.) began as a coalition focused on exploration, security, and mediation across expanding interstellar trade routes. Over 60 years later, despite growing competition and shifting political landscapes, U.G.I.S. continues to stand firm in its commitment to strength, stability, and prosperity for all members. For a deeper account of its history, refer to the U.G.I.S. Chronicles.

Manifesto

The Unions Guild of Interspatial Species (U.G.I.S.) exists to build, sustain, and protect progress across space.

We are a logistics and industry-driven organization at our core—focused on the collection of resources, the production of tools and infrastructure, and the steady expansion of what our members can achieve together. From hauling cargo and coordinating supply chains, to establishing future bases and operational footholds, we prioritize growth through structure and effort.

Alongside industry, we maintain a capable security presence. We are not a military organization, but we are not defenseless. When resources must be secured, when allies need support, or when operations are threatened, U.G.I.S. is prepared to respond—both in space and on the ground.

Our members are not defined by a single role or moral alignment. Each individual brings their own lawful goals, experience, and approach, contributing to a collective that values both independence and cooperation. Some of us focus on commerce and industry, others on protection and escort, and others still on exploration and opportunity. Together, these paths reinforce one another.

We operate with a balance of communal coordination and structured organization. Not rigid, but not directionless. Not purely corporate, but not informal. Our strength comes from alignment of purpose rather than uniformity of thought.

U.G.I.S. has a clear objective: to grow into a self-sustaining interstellar force capable of building, supplying, and defending its own future—and supporting those who stand with us along the way.

“Pushing Boundaries, Exceeding Expectations.”

Charter

The Unions Guild of Interspatial Species (U.G.I.S.) operates as a semi-committed organization built around flexibility, trust, and coordinated participation.

We recognize that Star Citizen is a long-term, open-ended experience. Members are not required to attend every operation, meeting, or event. Participation is encouraged but never forced. Those who choose to engage more actively may earn additional responsibilities, roles, and access within the organization.

Our structure is designed to support both casual members and active contributors while maintaining operational capability when coordination is required.

Core Principles

Respect and Conduct
All members of U.G.I.S., regardless of rank or status, are expected to treat one another with respect. Internal issues should be handled constructively and escalated to leadership when necessary.

Activity and Inactivity
Members are expected to maintain a reasonable level of activity. Extended inactivity (typically beyond two months) may result in a temporary reduction of rank or role until re-engagement. We understand that real life takes priority, and exceptions are always considered when communicated in advance.

Communication
Discord is strongly encouraged as it serves as the primary coordination hub for operations, logistics, and fleet activity. While not strictly required for all members, participation in communication channels is essential for those involved in organized operations.

Membership Structure
U.G.I.S. distinguishes between full members (“Mains”) and affiliated participants (“Affiliates”).

Mains have full access to organizational structure, leadership communication, and operational planning.
Affiliates are welcome to participate in fleet operations and shared activities but may receive limited access to internal logistics and planning information on a need-to-know basis.
Operational Philosophy

U.G.I.S. is not a rigid military structure, nor a purely casual group. We operate in a balanced state—organized enough to execute coordinated logistics, industry, and security operations, while remaining flexible enough to accommodate different playstyles and levels of commitment.

Our strength comes from participation, communication, and mutual reliability—not obligation.
