FOUNDING

The ULEA was founded in 2022 by a group of like-minded players who prefer to stay on the right side of the law while also actively fighting back against griefers, gankers and generally badly-behaved players who troll the ‘verse simply because they can.

Additionally, we take bounty and defense/mercenary contract, assisting local security forces in repelling criminal activities across the UEE (just Stanton for now).

PLAYSTYLE

The ULEA could be considered a “soft LESIM” (law enforcement simulation) type of organization. The two primary founding members were both active duty military and they bring with them the knowledge and experience of their professions, but it is also understood that many may find “hard LESIM” play a bit much for them. A more casual approach is taken with the ULEA, only falling into a structured LESIM-style mode when actively training new members or engaging in operations. Outside of that, often times our members can be found ‘coking and joking’ freely, though we maintain a level of respect and courtesy at all times.

RECRUITMENT

ULEA is actively recruiting for all roles within our organization, based on your experience level. We welcome both veterans and newbies to Star Citizen’s combine aspects of a space/atmospheric flight sim with ground-based first-person shooter elements. Our organization has experience in all of these areas, from M$ Flight Simulator and BSGO, to the various “of Duty” games, Battlefields, Haloes, Armas and many others. That said, we are always open to new ideas and more efficient ways of running our organization, so feel free to speak up if you think you have an idea of merit to contribute to the group!

BEHAVIOR

We are a group of people who pride ourselves in playing fair and clean, without any sort of malice or a desire for excessive violence against individuals in-game. That said, members who frequently garner Crime Stats or who enjoy bullying other players when not engaged in group play are NOT welcome.

Keep it clean and if that sounds like something you’d enjoy, come join the ULEA today!

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the ULEA to safeguard the lives and property of the people we serve, to reduce the incidence and fear of crime, and to enhance public safety while working with communities across the UEE to improve their quality of life. Our mandate is to do so with honor and integrity, while at all times conducting ourselves with the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence.

What does this mean?

The ULEA is a LAWFUL organization that prides itself in integrity, honor and courage. ULEA officers exist to prosecute crime, discourage all forms of criminal player killing (ganking, camping, noob-hunting, et al).

ULEA officers learn from their mistakes and use them as opportunities to improve in the future.

UEE Law is our code, and we will ALWAYS step in to help innocents and civilians. One civilian casualty is one too many.

Though the mantra of “put on your own gas mask before helping others” always rings true, ULEA officers and personnel never hesitate to help others in need. Your fire team, your ship and your department are only as strong as their weakest link. The ULEA WORKS TOGETHER!

Starting at the United Police Institute

When you start at the Institute you will be placed into an appropriate basic training course according to both your Star Citizen and general flight-sim/first-person shooter gaming experience level. As you complete your basic course you have the opportunity to choose whether you want to join one of our various branches and departments depending on which one suits your play style the best.

The ULEA is structured into various departments based on their functions within the organization:

LAW ENFORCEMENT ELEMENTS

Uniformed Patrol Division

The planetary Patrol Forces are made up of both fighter pilots and multi-member ship crews. Their function is to patrol their assigned planetary and orbiting body areas and conduct law enforcement actions as they arise.

Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT)

SWAT consists of members specialized in ground action and space EVA boarding combat. SWAT members can often carry specialized, mission-dependent load outs as needed and are typically carried in to mission zones by members of the Patrol Forces, though SWAT does maintain its own small cadre of transport pilots.

SUPPORT ELEMENTS

Logistics Supply Authority (LSA)

The LSA conducts the majority of the support needs within the ULEA, to include cargo running/revenue earning, secure package delivery, mining/extraction/refining, and medical and para rescue actions.

United Police Institute [UPI]

The “Institute” is the ULEA’s training academy, with veteran instructors that teach new members the basics and can even help more experienced Patrol, SWAT and Support members hone their skills in their given areas of expertise.

Internal Affairs Authority [IAA]

The ULEA’s Internal Affairs branch holds detectives that often work more on independent investigations of both ULEA members and wider cases across their planetary jurisdiction. Adverse player conduct is investigated by Internal Affairs and repeated Crime Stat gains by ULEA members are investigated and prosecuted quickly and efficiently.

ULEA Code of Conduct

  • Members of the ULEA respect others AT ALL TIMES.
  • Use of derogatory language, slurs and direct insults are STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
  • The ULEA exists to uphold the law and protect the innocent. All members are expected to conduct themselves accordingly.
  • The truism of “do unto others as you want done unto you” holds true here. What goes around comes around.

Code of Ethics

As ULEA officers, our fundamental duty is to serve the community; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the constitutional rights of all to liberty, equality and justice.

ULEA officers will keep their private lives unsullied as an example to all and will behave in a manner that does not bring discredit to themselves or the ULEA. Officers will maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest in thought and deed both in our personal and official lives, we will be exemplary in obeying the law and the regulations of the UEE and ULEA. Whatever we see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to us in our official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of our duties.

ULEA officers will never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence our decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, we will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.

ULEA officers recognize the badge of their office as a symbol of public faith, and they accept it as a public trust to be held so long as they are true to the ethics of ULEA service. We will never engage in acts of corruption or bribery, nor will we condone such acts by other ULEA officers. We will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice.

ULEA officers know that they alone are responsible for their own standard of professional performance and will take every reasonable opportunity to enhance and improve their level of knowledge and competence.

ULEA officers will constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating themselves to their chosen profession… law enforcement.
